The only playable race will be Ewok. You can be a shaman... or err, well a shaman. Maybe an Ewok with a stick. Whatever they were called. |

ya they could possibly do a great job with this game. hopefully if they make it around a time that they have established characters in (Darth Bane anyone?) those characters could be in the game |

For the purpose of accepting all the player Force sensitives you will see in game, I chose to believe all the trillions are like NPCs whether the trillions are seen or not. If this game is spread over multiple servers instead of on world (EVE) then it works out fine. But they do have to have other professions. I see it working like this. Every toon created spawns as a force sensitive. You are then given a choice to develop it at the Jedi and Sith temples. Make this road difficult to do. Have trials, earn new skills etc. Even in KOTOR you did not launch into the game with lightsaber in hand and knowledge of the force. Make Jedi/Sith something to earn. Everybody that doesn't give a flip about FS and Jedi/Sith can do many of the other professions available. Hopefully something else besides peew peew combat types, like crafters etc. I think this lends to all sorts of roleplay possibilities. Lets say the server cap is 10k. Half choose FS as a profession. Every one else chooses something else. This would mean 5K functional FS running around in a galaxy of NPC trillions. This ratio works for me. Keep in mind that everyone you know is FS is not a bad thing in this canon. FS mostly interacted with FS. The general public are aware of them and see them often. In KOTOR every NPC knew of the riff between J/S and interacted. Some even asked favors knowing you had the ability to help them. The trick of course is having enough alternate professions to choose from and that they are a viable way to play the game. To live in the SW universe. Also I think the world has to be large enough to support them. KOTOR had many planets. SWG does too. If it is small and you have a hundred glowbats lined up to do instances, then yes it will be a sad game with no real sense of immersion. As a side note if they make the J/S temples huge with tons of minigames and theme parks. It would help a lot. Plus I think there should be more than one of each spread through the game. Maybe learn different skills from the different temples and masters. As well as have nonalligned FS to train from like Jolie Bindo. All other professions of course have a method of learning them. I never played Jedi in any version of SWG and was a crafter for my primary professions. I do want a viable alt profession to play. Including some interesting support/logistical roles. I know, good luck. We will all know on the 21st.

I completely agree with you. KoTOR was exactly like you mention you started as force sensitive. It was up to your choices in game if you decide to continue as Jedi or Sith even reject your FS and become something else. What I always believe the player is the "Special/Hero" in a MMO the NPC are the normal non FS. Having everyone as FS would allow for game (PVP) balance with the non Jedi profession. As a experience FS BH or Smuggler would logically be able to compete against a Jedi Knight/Sith Knight. I can't wait for the 21th. I would be really heartbroken

Not hard to believe, LucasArt is just making a money grab, taking all the money it can while Bioware is making the new MMO. It make business sense for both Lucasart and SOE. Lucas gets money for the IP and SONY test out new feature for their new MMO DC. I just feel bad for all the player still giving money to the clown at SOE! I will never play another of their game for lieing to us in SWG. Remember, how they promise a new FORCE POINT SYSTEM and CAPITAL SHIP for guild... What we get NGE crap right after the release Obi Wan trials !never again! |

I think you should be able to post a bounty on anyone's head. I don't like "Jim", I come to you "Bobba" and offer you $$ to take him out, letting you know I last saw him wherever.

A Bounty, Smuggler, and Force Ranking System are things I would love to see at launch. |
