I knew it would get a 9.0 or above, they really know mmos over there . Now will you trolls go away...it's official!

EDIT: all you guys coming in saying the game is not a 9.0...what level are you. state your level. the games excitement kick in for me at level 24. we had a few amazing keep battles, one lasted an hour. until you experience that i dont think you should be saying what score it deserve and does not.

and it deserved it !  It's soooOoo much better then anything else otu there and so far superior to WOW.  I'am having a great time in WAR ( my server just received a 20% XP bonus 'couse our side is underpopulated and that makes me even happier ) !

As time goes on, the game will mature, the major bugs will be gone and  more content will be added. I am in this game for the long haul, thru the good times and the bad or unless I just simply burn out of WAR in which I will take a break, just like I have in past mmorpgs.

On the horizon out there, I dont see many GRAND SLAM mmorpgs coming out, so WAR will remain my home for some time.

However, I cant wait for KoToR Online,STO and Warhammer 40k Online in the distant future, but will try out the Stargate Worlds shortly.

it sure does, i was upset at gamespot only because they gave it the same score as conan. that tells you right there there not getting deep enough into the game to rate it properly. how the hell is conan just as good as WAR when it didnt even have sieges implemented, yet promised it. the bugs in conan were game breaking. not to mention conan offered nothing innovative except graphics, hated the spamming key aatacks. glad ign actually got to the higher content in war. T3 keep seieges are amazing on full servers, seems like gamespot must have missed them to compare war to conan.

hate to bust your bubble...but if you read the review its clear the reviewer only did Teir 1 where many of the problems people have with the game dont exsist.

still a good game but not a 9.0 more like a 7.5 once you hit T3

i guess...nothing in his review talks about anything pass T1...everything he describes from the PQ's, the RvR to the quest down to the screenshots all come from T1

i play the game and i cant wait to get off work to get back to War.....but at the same time i can call a spade a spade and WaR is not a 9.0 game

I use to take reviews seriously 6 years ago when I was sitting on the toilet reading a gaming magazine. Nowadays, I don't. Because they all give great reviews on games that aren't great. All mmorpg's get 7.0+,lol.

9.0 is a little high in my opinion. Tbh, should be a 7.8-8.2. 9.0? That's almost perfect. Warhammer online is far from almost perfect.

you won't be saying this once you ge tto higher tiers. i starts off slow, but get nuts higher up.

 I agree WAR is not a 9.0 game, but Jason Ocampo is good reviewer, he was at Gamespot before going to IGN and has always been an honest reviewer.  Doesn't mean we have to agree with him.

Why do I have to level to 24 for the excitement to kick in?

Honestly, I'm glad you enjoy the game as many others do, but I just don't feel the desire to log in anymore.  Guess I'm done after the free month.

Short term I think the game is a 9.0

Long term on the other hand is more like 7.0... The game has no depth to it, its only going to appeal to hardcore pvp'ers in the long run, so expect the 750k subscriptions to drop off big time when the casual players realize the PvE in this game is boring and repetitive, not to mention the lack of crafting and any real social aspect to the game.

Exactly, if the first 20 levels of a game are poor, and the last 20 are awesome, than the game deserves a 9.0?  Complete nonsense.

What level are you?  While I agree that all games require a decent amount of effort to be put into them before you can see how they really play, its hard to base it on what level your are.

We could also ask, how many keeps have you seiged? is it still fun after your 5th one? The 10th, the 100th?

MIght not be, I recall back in DAOC I grew tired of the normal servers and only sustained my interest on the FFA ones, which sadly WAR doesn't really have.

Yea yea yea, remember IGN rated EQ2 9.5 then backed down to 8.5...
