Well I didnt fall for all the hype of WAR infact I have only been playing about 2 weeks. I learned my lesson with AOC and wasnt going to fall victim again of all the pre release hype. AOC was a blast up until I hit max level. I never had peformance issues never crashed and didnt really care about any of the unbalancing issues. The game was fun and i was having fun, but level 70 came and the fun stopped. However i am not here to talk about AOC. WAR what is it good for? I am having a lot of fun atm however things seem pretty repetitive. Is this it? I am level 12 and it has taken me around 2 weeks( I have tried a few other classes). I love scenarios and public quests and I have been pveing. I have never done RVR except to do quests. I have never eve seen another sole in RVR. My question is this...Is this it? Is this how it is through out all levels? same repetitive motions of scenarios and Public quests. Dont get me wrong i am loving the game but i can see this getting old after a few more levels. Is there going to be anything that is going to make me say holy shit? |

Well then I must not be understanding the game. I have done so much Nordenwatch that I could play it blind folded. Is that not PVP. I love PVP or I wouldnt have bought the game. Then tell me how to do RVR because i must be missing something then and if RVR is just senerios then I guess i have done RVR. |

If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

It gets better once you hit around rank 18 and start raiding Keeps. I find this part of the game a ton of fun, even more so than the scenarios. keep in mind you haven't even seen the city sieges yet and that is the endgame. Also, with the way they are patching and making great fixes, any negative aspects you are experiencing are being addressed and squashed fairly quickly. Can't wait to see how this game does through the Holidays and once the content patches start to hit. |

Are you a member of a guild? The reasons I ask this is I came to this game HATING PvP and RvR and now I've completely changed. I do the PVE quests, PQ's, Scenarios and RvR in the battlegrounds. If you want to do the BG's, you really need to be part of a guild (something which I wasn't big on before either). There are three different scenarios per tier. You don't have to keep doing Nordenwatch. There are also (I think) three different PQ's per chapter. The game can be quite cool when you plan an attack on a keep and do some heavy fighting on the way. You have to be a bit more proactive with WAR than other games. You need to seek the fun, not expect the fun to come to you. I find there are many more choices of what to do in this game than others. In other games, it was usually either PvE or PvP.... and that was it. |

Well unfortunately RvR is relatively sparse because everyone is doing scenarios all the time. However, RvR is by no means completely dead.. I have had some great battles in T2 and T3. I think the issue here is that everyone and their dog is trying to get their first character to 40. This means that you are way behind the rest of the pack who are tier 3/4. When everyone reaches cap.. and people start to level alts or defend the frontlines in tier 4.. then I think things will improve. Hopefully mythic nerf the exp/renown that can be gained from scenarios too.

I agree that it was a game designed around pvp. IF you're more of a PVE guy, and don't really want to partipate in PVP, then this game is probably not for you. It has some PVE content, but it isn't really a focus of the game. |

I hope not. they need to up the xp for every thing ealse. Sorry but the thought of having to grind 6 months to see the end game content just doesn't cut it with me. I played DAoC back in the day when they made it take longer to hit lvl 50. 6 months of mind numbing grinding to hit top lvl was too much. |

As someone else said: depending on the server there is indeed not much RvR going on. Why? Because everyone is grinding both XP and RP in scenarios. Which is a sad thing, imho. It's like playing WoW BGs with a different skin. instanced PvP was not what I was looking for. I played enough BGs in WoW already, thanks. Especially since Blizzard decided to kill world PvP in WoW I was so excited when I heard about Warhammer. But frankly Warhammer is again nothing but grind in instanced BGs aka scenarios. The root of the problem is that scenarios gives way more XP and RP than open RvR or PvE. Since everyone wants to rush to level 40 and RR 80 as fast as possible it's no wonder noone cares about open RvR or PvE. Some servers might be a bit different. But on the servers I've tested there wasn't much open RvR or PvE. Everyone was doing scenarios. Becauze you levelz fazter |

The amount of time it has been taking to level I was wondering if it was just my play style. I actually thought it was required to pve to level. I didnt know we could just do senerios to level. So what is the best way to level your character. Lets me say this i am in no hurry to get to max level i want to enjoy the game. |

The fastest way would be to do only scenarios. The best way would be to do a bit of all (scenarios, open RvR, PQs) Unfortunately most of the players prefer the fastest way (everything below endgame seems to be irrelevant somehow) so, depending on the server, you might have a hard time finding players for open RvR and PQs. |

Wrong. The fastest way is AoE-duo'ing first level PQs and specific areas. You get around 22k each time you complete a tier 4 scenario, that would be around 110Kexp/h. By AoE'ing with the right group you can get up to 300Kexp/h. To reach that you would have to get 60k each scenario match (which isn't very probable). During the first levels yes, it is faster. Mainly because you don't have the proper tools for an AoE group, and simply because scenario exp doesn't rise like leveling exp (at rank 1 you can get around 4k per match, at level 40 you can get around 22k). Don't expect REAL RvR at Rank 12. When you start capping & defending keeps, the REAL fun begins. Scenarios will be boring after doing it for 100s times, PQs will also get bored. But I never have anything more fun in a game as those keep fights and the fun lasts.
IMPORTANT!!!! WAR is NOT for soloers!! Join a guild or just quit WAR if you don't want to make friends/ally with others! |

I have had the same problem as the OP. Admittedly I am an alt whore which has slowed my leveling down considerably. My highest level is a 19 Black Orc. The couple of times that I have seen keeps under attack I have gone to investigate and rvr only to find nobody else around. This sucks because I'm not going to try to take on a massive force by myself. =p I'm hoping things even out at level cap and when I find a good serious guild to join. |
