Warning: Gaming is dangerous to your health.:D |
My current game is Atlantica Online and I'm still a bit at the beginning of the game. So far, the hardest boss I've encountered is the Mutated Tree. It was probably because I wasn't really ready for the fight but it took a lot of effort for me to defeat it. 3 out of 5 of my mercenaries died from the battle! How about you guys? Hardest boss fight? |

from my personal experience when i was a pre-BC guild Main Tank in WoW, would have to be the first 2 bosses in BWL, Kiting with Razorgore was a bitch, and Vaelestraz pounding the living shit out of then killing your Main Tank instantly every 30 seconds while AOEing your entire 40-man raid, 2 minute fight of doom :p. |

DAoC, Hibernia's Dragon mob, Cuuldurach. First time we tried this we needed about 3-4 full groups, and even then there were countless rezzes. |

I would say Trakanon right after Kunark was released in EQ. The encounter itself wasn't that difficult, but getting to him before every other guild on the server was. This race through OS was brutal, but a lot of fun.

Ask those guys over at FFXI who did that 18-hour non-stop bossfight and still couldn't beat him. |

I was thinking the same thing... Pandemonium Warden from FFXI is the hardest boss that I know of in MMOs. Personally, it would be General Drakkisath from UBS in WoW. Before they made that into a 10-man raid and everyone was decked out in T1-3 gear that is. The respawn rate meant that, assuming you were lucky enough to have a warlock and could get a soulstone, you'd have two tries on him before having to start all over again. If even one person messed up... splat. If even one person wasn't hugging the wall and accidently pulled him from 30 yards away... splat. It was fun, but very difficult. |

Come on, Mutated Tree was easy. Go on level 40+ you'll see that even mobs give you a hard time solo. I suggest you doing that one in a party. I guess you can...
MU - Not too much hard bosses except Kundun and Balgass. Others can be beaten to a pulp by agi BKs. Cabal - Pretty much hogged them all using my Archer. Had a hard time in Pontus though. If the mobs are all over you, you'll pretty much die if you don't have a party. So in the end, I still love offline RPG bosses. Once you kill them, then the game ends. You don't have to expect a random drop that shows up once in a while. MMO's are fun though once you look pimped up. |

For the time, one that comes to mind is the Apocalypse encounter in DAoC; Albion's Shrouded Isles' dungeon Caer Sidi I think it was called. Four Horsemen and then Apocalypse, I think the first time our alliance brought twice as many people as it normally took us to take down the realm dragon, and wiped on the first Horseman. |

Sleeper in EQ1. Ah the good old days of Rallozek before Sony nerfed it into another carebear server. |

Bosses with a billion health points and AoE damage the entire raid for half health every few seconds arent "hard" they are just "stupid". Very few bosses are difficult because of advanced strategies and tactics. |
