I'm glad it's not WoW, personally I wanted something new to learn and discover. But people will always whine, just get over it. ;)

To be honest.. I knew about 3-4 people who logged into WOW just so they could chat with thier guildies.

Wow was one of thier chat clients.

they had  AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, JABBER, MSN Messenger.... and...... WOW.

Sad but True.

 Well not me, I despise WoW, I wanted something entirely different, and all I got is an RvR version of WoW.

That is whining in a nutshell nowadays.

An ultra rate nutshell with a + 200 to all stats, and a 100% chance to deal 2000 fire damage to the attacker.

Same logic as "better not to have official forums because there are trolls". Silly logic. Better say "I will swallow everything Mithyc throws at me".

The problem is that too many try to PLAY WAR as WoW instead of ya know...

the problem is that too many people dont like a game for what its not, instead of liking a game for what it is.

no one said warhammer was going to be everything, what they did say is that it will be an RvR focused game, and they deliverd that very well.

Its not like people are complaining that the game is boring, that it lacks any content, that its a grind fest, or that it lacks any lore, or that its RvR sucks.  To me those are major reasons why i like this game.

All the focus is on the fact that its not like wow but it is kinda......that the game lacks a chatroom feeling....that a new game has a few bugs....that theres a lack of RvR players on the low pop servers....

so its not 100% perfict...the  "holy grail" of mmo's

what it does accomplish is that it provides solid RvR in a market saturated with pve+pvp games.  You get 4 diffrent ways to level a character instead of one pve based path.  You get the ability to jump right into the type of action usualy reserved for end game only characters, right off the bat.  You also get solid lore, lots of content, and a gameplay style that hasent been done since DAoC (team based RvR rather than solo pvp or RvR focused on 1vs1 pvping)

So whatever, ill take warhammer for what its worth, a fun game.

The game is exactly the same as wow right now.  Mythic really screwed up.  90% of the population does scenarios over and over JUST like in world of warcraft.  So, at the current state of the game, war = wow.

What game are you playing, because if you can compare wow with war you definitly are not playing warhammer.

that argument stood up right when beta started, when no one had played past level 5, but it just doesnt float anymore. Too many people have played war to know it is nothing like wow, for better or worse.

not even wow's new expansion bring the gameplay close to wars.

wow= pve grind then gear grind, then raids and pvp

war = Team based RvR+PVE then sieges

diffrence is that warhammer is an RvR game from the START wow is a raid/pvp game at the end...huge gameplay diffrence, also wow is more like solo killing sprees while warhammer has no standout "good classes" for pvp, unlike wow.

Want it or not it an mmo role playing game not cs or cod... means if  ppl in war dont talk eachother its just a bad shoot em up . Unless ofc as war funboys lied about the teamwork  needed for pvp and pve.

Seems u r also quite anti-social person

and btw in wow after 3.5 y of playing there 60-70% of ppl i talk ^^ are 24+ y old .

wait.. let me get this straight.. because alot of people are enjoining scenarios and doing them over and over. it makes the game just like World of Warcraft?

I would like you to explain how you came to that. I mean.. play style, pace, graphics, skill trees, lore, leveling types.. stat blocks.. ALL different from wow.. but I wanted to know how you can ignore all that because scenarios are being done alot.

If the game isn't enjoyable to you just go back to what ever game you liked before, but please leave this game the way it is as this is the game I want to play...not WoW!!!

I like WAR and play it often, but I don't delude myself by thinking this game is superior to wow.  If it wasn't for the pvp focus, it wouldn't be more then a cheap knockoff.

Because your playing it like wow and your choosing not to explore any of the content in the game....

its team based RvR not solo pve with solo pvp killing sprees for its endgame.  I dont even see how you could compare the two....unless your jumping into scenarios/RvR alone and trying to rack up pvp kills....which is a recepie for getting steamrolled.

theres so much content in this game that youll never see it all unless you roll one of each race on each side and put RvR on the back burner.

and it has nothing to do with which game is superior, one game is a team based RvR game the other is a pve quest game....totally diffrent.
 

the question should be, which game type do you like more?

its sounding like your more comfortable with the wow style.
