I read these forums quite a bit and do not post alot i like reading everyones moans and bolsters.

Everyone that complains about the games end content with scenes. renown points ect ect........have you sieged a keep yet? or done like 45 on 45 RvR sieges?....now i must say i have tried and played many mmo's in the past 13 years back to UO and I really enjoyed L2 sieges...but i am very impressed with the Sieges in WAR.....There is alot of strategy behind it  the NPC's are tough and AI is pretty good....was pretty exciting....and really cant wait to raid the Main City...

Just wondered if anyone else has done this. You dont even have to wait for end game guild cities or gear to siege or sign up and wait for weekends and times to siege unlike other mmo's its 24 hours non stop.

The point is not if RvR and sieges in particular are fun.
Of course they are fun, but for how long?

That's the biggest problem of WAR.
The game gets repetitive after a while, even fun features like sieges, don't mean anything and after a while they just stop being entertaining.

Also they need to force people out of the bloody Scenarios.
If Mythic cannot make the world come alive, this game will be well and truly dead in few months.

The OP is merely stating alot of the moaning is coming from people who obviously hate this game for there own reasons and should just quit the game and these forums.

And leave the scenarios out of this thread because all the other threads are filled with them. We get it. Not everyone is a fan.

Every game is a repeat in some fashion. EVERY GAME. Its the way its been in every mmo. Show me a MMO that changes the complete content weekly to mix it up.

Enjoy : )

even compared to other mmo's  then AoC= does pvp get old after a while?  WoW=Does raiding get old after a while?

i guess the perfect mmo would be a game that releases a game within itself  everymonth so it wouldnt get old.

You can make that point about any game. Every game begins to lose the fun value after  person has been doing the same activity for several months. When that happens, you move on to a new game and return once an expansion is released. For the core community, just like in every other game, the game will be fun enough to stay suscribed to for many years.

MMORPG's w/ Max level characters: DAoC, SWG, & WoW

Life Liberty and the Pursuit of those that would threaten It

The simple sultion is to give xp for taking objectives and keeps as well as defending them. Only give renow xp for Senarios and only start them in teir 3. All other area's are standard xp

A game that releases a game within itself is a Sandbox game. However, leaving it up to the average joe to handle a Sandbox is not the modern MMORPG's goal anymore.

I think the most important thing is to let average joe and any other person to decide for him/herslef what's best.  Of course, there are always some totalitarian people that think they know whats best ofr others.

In any case, WAR is not a sandbox.  Mythic never said they were making a sandox.  They even said there will be levels, abilites to be bought, etc, etc, etc... this is a them park.  What means nothing because sandbox is not better neither worst than a theme park MMO.  Both are just different implementations of MMOs and nothing prevents people for having fun in any of them.

Imho, the modern goal of MMO companies is making money.  The real goal for MMO players should be to have fun and not to defend a MMO implementation as it was a religion.

I think that once word of mouth gets out about what warhammer's endgame is like i think youll see people start heading back.

The chat interface will be tweaked, which for some reason really ruined an otherwise fun game.

I cant wait for the endgame stuff, but im in no rush to power level to it, im having good fun getting there now.

I really think a lot of open beta players who didnt like the game, felt that way because they saw 10 levels and assumed it was going to be that forever.  I think a lot of people are going to be plesantly suprised with the endgame.

anyway once scenarios get boring move on to open field, if that gets boring do some pq's, if that gest boring title hunt or do some pve...theres lots of things to do besides scenario grind.

Much more to do than a pve grind to a pvp endgame offers.

Yes every game gets boring after awhile grinding the same stuff over and over again.

Yes most people are fed up with raiding the same bosses in WoW, but they are always doing it. The reason? Loot. They have something to look forward to. Even though raiding becomes boring, people are ready to farm the same boss 100 times so that they get the 1 purple piece they have wanted forever. There's no such thing in WAR to drive you to grind your life out.

The content in WAR is mainly for fun. That is nice and all, but I can't see a long lasting appeal because, as you know it gets boring and FUN all alone isn't enough.

So RvR can be fun for a few weeks... What then?...

I have seiged and defened keeps in T2 and T3 with our side being anywhere from 15-24 and once or twice 30.  And the other side having usually 50% higher at any given instance.  Except for one time we just put a huge zerg (for order with a low population, ie. 2 warbands) together in t2 and ran all over the place taking keeps and kill destruction.

I would not be playing on the server I play on if my guild and a couple other like minded guilds hadn't decided to take keeps.

I would have re-rolled to higher population.  If I hadn't played Open Beta I most likely would have quit.   If our guilds had not had the initiative every keep would be owned by destruction and they would have never encountered one ounce of resistance.  The fact that Destro can take all keeps with no opposition and has everything else easier combined with the fact that RvR would have been spotty at best and often dead at worst.

If I had not been on a full OB server I would have thought the game sucked and did not work right.  And once i hit T3 the huge increase in quest grinding required and lack of any other options would have driven me away.  No scenarios, PQs empty, destrcution swarms you 6 on 1 immediately in RvR.  Nothing to do but 1000 quests per level.  The best thing about WAR is the options.  On many servers there are no options and very little RvR.

Unfortunately Mythic wil not fix this in time and will lose many customers because of it.

Exactly what its like on the server i'm on...I'm sure I'll like the sieges etc.. if i  get a chance to do them
