Greetings all!
It seems to me that scenario leveling speed is about 3-4 times faster than PvE leveling speed. Perhaps this is just my playstyle that makes me a poor leveler in PvE or is this intended to be like this? Just curious here, not complaining or anything before some fanboi jumps on me hehe.

You definetly notice when you do Battlegrounds from Tier 1 to 2 you get the best of both worlds. Standard XP and your Renown XP, however doing BGs continuosly can get your heart pumping and can build up alot adrenaline (this is me of course) and I gotta cool the engines after I hit the BG's hard. PvE leveling to me is more kick back, relaxing and enjoying the game from a different aspect and the leveling seems alot slower unless you know where to go and what to do. When I start a new character, I go straight to the Battlegrounds from Level 1 to 10 (regular levels) and my renown is about the same level, so your a pretty pimped out character from just doing BG's alone in the beginning. (This of course opens up your Renown Armor and Weapons which are pretty excellent at these levels). I find Level from 1 to 10 faster in BG's than PvE. At my level now of 18 (regular level) I am hitting the Public Quests Chapters since most of the equipment is BLUE and pretty nice armor and weapon gear. |

exellent poll!!
and on levelingspeed scenarios are the best hands down, you can make about 4-5 times the xp atleast than you can in PvE, and you also get RR xp for it. As it is now, PvE is quite useless imo. Not worth the effort at all. But think this is the way mythic war crazy paul wants it, "this is not crafting online, this is WARonline!!!" *crazy eyes*
So don't expect anything outside pvp / scenarios ever be equal to the speed of scenarios leveling / gains. |

I am not doing any pve content about until im done with rr 80. Not worth it for me, more money, more xp both normal and rr in scenarios.
why bother doing other parts of game when u gain more in pvp? The tank that is born to tank! |

This is the big problem. Servers are empty , everyone is playing scenarios.
Mythic should fix this problem asap. Since people are starting to notice and get preddy pissed

I think they should orginize the xp based on the tier your doing scenarios in. When i played with my lvl 26 witch elf i got about the same amount of xp from tier 1 to tier 3 scenarios. Around 10-16k xp and 16-25k xp if you solo. Conclusion: You should get more xp from scenarios on a higher tier and maybe less on lower if thats what peoples want. (This is from my gaming experience, if you recieve more/less xp on higher tier, please do share it) |

I have a problem with scenarios in the first place, they really eat up everything else in the game because of level/renown gain. It leaves keeps and objectives undefended and unattacked for the majority of the time, unless a guild decides to get something going.
Tier 4 is just going to be a bunch of people sitting at a warcamp doing scenarios... then when they get tired, go take a keep.. then jump right back in to grind renown for more gear. Population caps need to rise and there needs to be bonus incentive for open RvR. |

Originally posted by DAS1337 the difference with Tier 4 is that when everyone is Maxed out at Rank 40 scenarios become less enticing. Open field RvR nets quite a bit of renown points and for me personally I have been able to get a ton more renown doing open field. Scenarios will still be important for zone control, but the keeps and BO's are the bulk of the victory points. |

In an ideal world XP should be a by-product of enjoying the game. What i mean is that your game play should not be determined by how much XP you get. Play the game and enjoy it, do what you want when you want, and let the XP and lvls come when they come. If you are forever watching your XP and rush to level when you get to cap you may well be burnt out(more or less like power levellers do).
I find that WAR is a bit different to other MMOs, as you participate in PvP from a very low level, once you get to about lvl10 you will have a decent amount of skills to let you enjoy the class, as such you dont have to be at max lvl to enjoy it. So my advice is play the game not the levels!

Now the whole world is empty because people are playing those minigames - you might say its for fun. But de-facto its because it brings way more benefit than doing anything else.
So per-fact WAR is turned to minigame. I am paying 15$ to play MINIGAME!? I want to play WAR the MMO but i cant because they made MINIGAME most benefitial part of the game

im gonna start setting up guild groups for scenarios and just plow our way to 40 from now on. Seems we been wasting time as we need the efficency in getting up faster. Perhaps we will do PvE when we done with the rest, but as it is now, the pve world will have to wait. |

have two alts im testing this with now, one does only scenarios and the other only pve content. Sure, i might do a needed switch here and there, but it is what they mainly do. So far, the scenario char is pulling away fast in xp and of course renown, and have more money and better gear. Gonna see if it evens up during the weekend. Hopefully! There can be only one |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hrm, I'm at work atm, so I can't look into it atm, but rest assured, I'll be on tonight to check it out. I'm lvl 23, so, it should be similar......... i just dinged 25 and 26 yesterday. The quests i'm doing are against level 28-31 lvl mobs. I'm in Saphery at the moment and about 70% done with the quests there. I doubt i'll be able to go to caledor and continue the quests in DE because i won't be high enough level to do them. I'll probably have to jump to another continent and do some quests over there. This means Scenarios give more exp per min, as I figure it anyway. By how much? I'm averaging about 9k exp per scenario, maybe 10-12min. Lets say I quest....Let's say the average time it takes me is the same. I keel 10 mobs at 300 a piece. That's 3k for mobs and 3k for quest...That's 6k..... Not that big of a diff. I quess...Let's not forget Renound exp....Hey! I just tipped the scales, Thanks for playing. |

The only impact this has on you is that there are not that many people to complete PQs and to take part in the open world RVR, which indeed is a shame, but the game is young and just because others are playing mini games and levelling fast doesn't mean you have too It is not a race to get to cap is it? If you have a decent game than racing to cap is just not worth it, it ruins the game for yourself as once you reach cap and there is not a decent end game(apart from raiding there never really is) you feel you have reached your goal and then get bored. You say "Brings way more benefit...." you are still thinking in terms of XP and RP. Enjoy the journey to cap don't race to get there, then you won't care whether others are getting more benefit than you, and if you send time in the open world adventuring you will find others there doing other things than mini-games. Or Join a guild. |

I myself want to get one char up to 40 asap so I can help my guild out the most. My alts tho are doing everything I can get my hands on, scenarios, pqs, all quests i can find and of course trying to unlock as much as possible.
scenarios is the way to go for fast speed i noticed so far in my comparison between two chars. There can be only one |

Ok, been racking my brain around the scenario farming problem, and here's what I've come up with. Btw, why is there no "suggestions"-section here on MMORPG.COM for this game, when most others have it? Ok first of all, I don't think the calls for "simply nerf the XP gain" would be very good, since then nobody would do them and people would complain about them being "ghost scenarios". Instead, make the huge XP gain a once per day-boost, i.e you get a huge XP boon the first time you play each of the scenarios every 24 hours, especially if you actively participate and your side wins of course, after that you only gain a minimal amount (though slightly larger if you participate and make an effort to to win it for your side), thus people will be "gently coerced" to then go into PQ's and RvR to try gain more big XP boosts, great gear etc. There, problem solved :) |

Best way is to combine it.. although i noticed specially in T2 its way faster to do scenario`s only. There are lots of quests specially in T4 that can be done within minutes and give the same amount of exp a scenario gives u (scenario quest reward not included). |
