Rather vague description of the game. What is it? Some kind of shooter? It would be nice, if when posting info on these off the wall games, a brief description of what the game is, is included. |

Think inside the box, everyone else is too busy tring to think out of it. |
I was sooooo happy when this showed up in my inbox the other day! Wow. I'm so awesome. |

Many people browse forums/game sites at work.
Many compamies block Facebook.
Using Facebook as a 'major community tool' = bad, bad idea! |

It's only one tool in a toolbox of available ways to reach the gaming community, and once people know about a facebook profile with competitions etc, then can go home and look it up for themselves. I can't wait for this game to be released it looks like it has some great new ideas, and potential; On another note, no real 'new' information has been released about this game, I am getting tad tired of finding the same old information on a variety of websites. Even the 20 minute video of DJ at the 09 Develop conference regurgitated the same old stuff, with a 3 minute trailer of the game which can be found with a simple search of google, the APB website too. The last update (Sept, 08) that got sent to MMORPG.com said a forum would be released on the APB.com website soon for discussion on the website. Alas, no forum, no discussion except for on third party sites such as here. Although, they have started doing those podcasts with that guy who thinks he is funny, but actually isnt. Yet, no real information about the gameplay of the game, I got more from the MMORPG.com updates than what is available at the games own website. For a game that has been in development for so many years, its suprising they have released so little information about the game, not really keeping people interested in the game with the spoonfed information that is available possibly may be a poor choice (more so that using Facebook as a marketing tool). |
