I hate how much people lie about PvP when they're bad at it. The only way that first scenario played out the way you described is if your 6ish defenders were 10+ levels more than the highest person in the enemies' group.

It is common knowledge that a small well organised group of defenders against a stupid zerg CAN successfully defend a keep. 

Maybe you don't play?

 

norgadnaz is an old hand at mmorpg.com. Have respect man. He doesn't really need to actually play a game to know all about it. He doesn't even need to know the game's name to be fully confident that it is crap compared to sheer awesomeness that is WoW... and he isn't afraid to share his wisdom with us uninitiated who actually need to see to know.

Sometimes I wish I had his integrity and strength of character. No really. I envy people like that.

Just because someone knows how to voice their opinion, it doesn't make them smart.

If he doesn't need to play a game to know all about it, then he would know the truth of Ryman's story. I can read about playing the guitar all day long, that doesn't mean I can instantly pick one up and start wailing.

I can vouch for Ryman also. If you are the only one at a keep and the enemy is breaking down the door, 2 drops of hot oil wll usually kill the entire warband. Long story short, it is not uncommon for a single, or a few, people to defend a keep from an entire warband.

Yeah turrets/demons need to be fixed so they don't ignore LOS.

They also need to be fixed so that they do noticeable damage. Currently, enemies who stop to kill a turret are wasting their time, badly.

Magus is one of the most broken classes out there, but at least the T4 Gothic plate armor and flying disc look cool.

i cant wait for the endgame content. im playing on karag-oroud europe atm, and there is just not happening much RvR :S its bad, since its imo the most fun in the game :) merge some servers and lets get bussy :P

Merging wont help since its an universal problem across all the servers. On average Dest outnumber order by 1.5 to 1.

K Orrud is just one of the worse ones when it comes to balance, you still see a lot of people rolling dest there but no one rolls new order chars and those who are left have learned to not bother since we are outnumbered 2-3 to 1 in open RvR and even if we manage to defend a keep then destro just ninja it it back at 3 am.
