Pretty straight forward question here, I'd like to know when the other four capital cities are going to be introduced. They said it would be shortly after retail release, so you news aggregators need to spill the beans and tell me what the ETA is. Thanks in advance :) ___________________ http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/12/13/ |

I am more concerned about the missing classes that should have been in at launch. |

I agree. Though, I would prefer to play a Slayer (lore aside) than a Hammerer.

I am more concerned about the four capital cities that their respective races are missing, and were promised shortly after retail release. That is a lot of major content that they cut, and have remained silent about. It is crystal clear that Inevitable City and Altdorf are both human cities, and if you explore them you run into a lot of stuff that just highlights that fact. ___________________ http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/12/13/ |

Gazenthia, I can see you are very passionate about this, so please don't take this the wrong way. I don't see the cities as content par se. Unless the unavailable cities have some amazing purpose that I'm unaware of, then I can live without them. So far I've only used Altdorf for the auction house, guild vault, and to purchase a vehicle. As it stands now, people are already getting bored with the inability to play the way they want to play. After all, the player is the toon, and not the city, correct? In the case of Order, there is a gaping hole in melee dps. I'm well aware of the Witch Hunter (a rogue/indirect combat type) and the White Lion (majority of utility skills are on their pet and not many like pet classes). Games need to introduce reasons for players to create a toon and give them a desire to develop said toon. Without that continuing factor, then endgame sieges simply aren't going to be an issue. |

So much else to prior than that actually.

Neither does calling my opinion insane or stupid. However, as my first line acknowledged your emotional state, I won't take it to heart :) You think more cities should be the top priority, and I see them as nonconsequential. I can live with that :) |

Can you link to where they promised to add the cities? All I heard was that the cities were cut into one instead.

That's just a guess obviously, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until it happens. But it would not surprise me in the least. |

I agree with the OP that the cities are content but atleast they announced well before hand that they would not be in. Not that it is a good excuse atleast they are honest. I personally would not expect to see them anytime soon and feel that the missing classes would be much more important. is either game breaking IMO no although it can be upsetting to be short some melee DPS as Order and would like to see more content from the cities. I personally would rather they not add the extra cities unless they raise the server pop caps as I feel there is already to much content for the playerbase. There are alot of PQ's and RVR zones that really need some attention and there are alot of people playing on my server but to much conent for a few thousand people to keep going. I hate to say this as it makes the game so easy to level but scenario XP needs a big time nerf while PQ and world RVR needs a major buff.
Mythic did a great job of making sure the content was there but missed the boat on population issues. Altdorf is seeing better pops now but not what a capitol city should be at iMO. Imagine the people there spread between 2 other citys. Playing- Lotro |
