Don''t like what I wrote? then don''t read it |
ok in response to the post asking people to say what they do like I thought it would be interesting to see what some people don't like I am aware that this may attract trolls, so please only put what you think and don't respond to any negative posts that you feel are wrong!! Personally I would say it is the same as the thing I like about the game, the freedom, as it can be very daunting and somewhat confusing as to what you want to do next sometimes its nice to have the decisions made for you shhh... you might wake the trolls |

I don't like that it feels more like an interactive screen saver or a pretty excel spreadsheet than a game. Sitting at a computer while my screensaver takes me on a trip through the stars for the entire evening <> fun for me. Eve needs to get som friggin worm holes to speed up travel. |

The UI. it needs a lot of work. Sure it's functional but it's incredibly clunky and unintuitive. That's really my main pet peeve. |

Originally posted by jayheld90 I'm sorry you feel this way, and in fact, while there are certainly a lot of jerks, it really isn't true. I've met far more good people than bad in EVE, as long as you can consider someone who destroys your ship and pod still good. (its all part of playing the game) I suspect that fixing this complaint isn't the only issue you have with EVE so probably doesn't matter if you're wrong about this one. My only real complaint is that some of the biggest and best ships in the game (like motherships and titans) are a little too special, in other words only a very small handful of pilots in EVE really ever will have a chance at flying one, and since my RL prevents me from being a hardcore player (nor do I have the political skills that this entails as well) and I know I'll never fly one of them. But hey, this game lets me get further towards the final 'endgame' goals than just about any otherone out there, so I really can't complain I suppose.

It''s one thing to have a opinion, but enforcing one is unconstitutional. |

It will be interesting to see how player relations change once they add walk-around stations. |

I've tried the trial twice now, and while I think the game is very beautiful to look at, I have absolutely no clue as to what it is I should be doing or how to do it. Yeah, I know there's a lot of info out there on how to play, but it's still pretty confusing, and I don't feel like investing several hours in reading just to figure out the basics. I want to jump in and have fun (does that make me a gimme person? I suppose it does :] ) Also, I get the feeling that I will never be able to complete in a game like this since I'm just starting out. That could be wrong, but that is the impression I get when I do visit the forums.

I just find the game boring. The making a movable avatar is a nice touch, but I can't get into a character if you're just a ship and a portrait |

All we need is the one with "doom kitty" icon to post in here we'll have all 3 in one place. One thing, I feel disconnected from my ship. Not something I can put my finger on probably has to do with the click to move thing and I'm more into joysticks for flying or navigating. |

1. About as immersive as watching Tron 2. Icky culture: corporate raiders on steroids transplanted to a non-specific space world. 3. So-so community. About half helpful and psychotic. 4. Basic gameplay is hideously boring, one is supposed to be fascinated by long term accumulation. 5. The very fact that the core constituency is so certain it is the best thing that ever existed. |

One thing I don't like about Eve?
How Pirates can easily Suicide Miners and transports with next to no risk in High sec space. Personally I feel suiciding players just to have friends easily loot the valubles and bolt is an Exploit and a Pussy ass move. Concord shoud blow anyones ass up who tried to loot anyones remains in high sec. I personally have never been attacked this way but I know players who have and they left the game due to it. Its one thing to get blown up if you transport or mine in Low sec (that area of space should be risky) But to get owned in 1.0 space is BS, how do you get around something like that? I never feel bad for players getting owned in low sec cause they understand the risk what are they supposed to do in High sec? Stay docked? Getting away from concord is supposed to be a Exploit correct? then why is this suicide in High sec crap not been fixxed?
Anyway thats my problem with Eve CCP allows pirates a work around of a core Concord defense system in High sec by letting ppl suicide bomb and have friends loot valubles.
Edit: I did read CCP was looking into this though so maybe they will combat this BS. Sometimes I feel like I'm the Only Pirate with Honor I stay in low sec space and do My hunting.

I'm going to cheat. I find the combat rather boring, but the things that come with combat make up for it...a little bit. I like the risk versus reward. Also, I think the chat system (Windows, font) feels strange. I'm fine with the fee for some of the usage, but the font is pretty difficult to read unless very close. Everything else rocks. |

Originally posted by Deathstrike2 EVE can definitely be a bit overwhelming when starting out. The skill system alone takes a while to get figured out, but once you do, it all makes pretty good sense. You really have to be dedicated to play EVE, it is very time consuming. |

Space. Trammies need to stop polluting the MMORPG landscape. They already have enough games in which to emote hugs and sell garbage by the banks. |

The gameplay in 0.0
Sov warfare currently involves gathering a huge fleet, gathering a few more huge fleets as backup, engage another bunch of huge fleets, crash the node, reconnect faster than your opponent, clear the field, jump in caps / more caps, and siege the system for the next hours. Repeat two days later to kill the towers coming out, then proceed with next system. Current sov mechanics were not designed to work with todays fleet sizes and capital numbers. It's horribly broken. Ccp are working on it, but fixing it will take a long time, because the problem is very complicated, and they have to get it right on the first try. If they fail, they'll just break the game even more. I really hope people won't start shitposting on the forums again when ccp finally decides to revamp pos and capital warfare...else we might be stuck with broken mechanics forever, and that will kill the game in the long run. |
