I want something fresh, new, a new genre of games. Well, I will still play Warhammer every few days but it's so boring to me now too. Just another cookie-cutter. I find myself playing Ryzom for the first time now. Why? Takes skill and is unique. Lot's of strategy and different types of gameplay. No little kids clicking to kill. The community is filled with people that want to help instead of immature players that act like dicks. It also has a shitload of pvp. Sounds like my type of game so we'll see.
Still waiting for a new genre of games. There are some in development so I'm only hoping and waiting. |

I'm not going to call you a troll or any other negative name, but I am not sure what you want people to do by letting them know that you are bored. Most reactions to your post are going to be something similar to, "ummm ok....."
Plus, imagine if they made it super difficult, then most people would complain that it's too difficult. In the real world it is impossible to please everyone, it's just how the the world works. Maybe you should play single players games, not sure though. Anyway good luck in finding a game you enjoy, if not I guess replace playing games with another hobby.

Gonna sound like a troll/flame but I don't mean it to but SWG or Eq2 never one is a game you SLOWLY build anytthing in I playd SWG at launch and many months afterwards and it took me less time probly than WAR has to lvl out Eq2 same thing and played it from beta well into release nothing slow about either.Want to SLOWLY build chars then old Eq1 or FF would been a game for that |

If you refuse to join a good sized active guild and want to solo the game, then WAR is not for you. The whole point of this game is to join forces with other people and fight other large groups of people. Once we get rid of the people that don't understand how to play, the better the game will be. MMOs Played: EQ 1&2, DAoC, SWG, Planetside, WoW, GW, CoX, DDO, EVE, Vanguard, TR |

And as I continue to play the game, I become more irate about that decision. There needs to be, at the very least, server forums. As I anticipated, it has led to varying problems. ___________________ http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/12/13/ |

I can't really get into it anymore. It's really hard to just sit down and play it without doing something else, or focus on one character.
But I'm giving it another month. Groovy. |

YOU ARE BORED WITH MMOS period! everyone was expecting some mega uber mmo to come out...ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. warhammer is not the mega uber mmo that you imagined up. we are sorry conan let you down, don't blame it on Mythic and call the game boring when you dont even know why it's "boring". the game is getting 5 stars and 9.0 ratings like crazy, i hope people are smart enough to check the professional reviews out there and not listen to post like these. |

like others i think i also got hit by the experience that an mmorpg is just a game i played lineage2 hardcore for 4 years straight, oretty much the same as many others play wow then i swiched to aoc, saw that it was a great game (for my taste of questing/immersion)
i think that once you left your original overly addictive game and bonds to the community your head will become clear and you start to watch these mmos again as computer games and not as your style of living. whats wrong with buying war and feeling a bit bored after you played it 100+ hours ? the only thing thats wrong is that you do not feel bored if you play wow for 1000+ hours raiding the same boss for a different colored pair of gloves...
i think in the future we see more of multi-game guilds that are able to keep up their online friendship even thrue a multitude of games and with more games on the market we see a greater diversity and youll play game X when you feel like it and game Y when you think that suits your momentary tastes. if your bored, visit my blog at: |

Warhammer is a mass pvp game in an MMO 'package'. Everything about it focuses on mass or smaller scale player vs player. Think of it as Guild Wars in a persistent world with more 'traditional' RPG careers in it. It's not the sandbox MMO with vast character customisation etc. The pve concept is just something to 'fill in' the time between pvp battles. When you accept it for what it is, you will have a blast, but you won't have a good time if you try to transform it into an Everquest-type-of-game because that's not what this game is about. |

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people. |

You people are weird.. seriously. Been like 100 threads on these forums about this topic, all that seems to happen on here is stupid people complaining about a game they don't like, so why even bother to post about you thoughts, obviously people who are enjoying the game get fed up of reading the shit you keep writting. Anyone who comes on here and defends people like the OP are even more sad for defending him.. he said his opinion, why? who gives a shit, should keep it to himself no one wants to know, most of the replys from the people saying 'i know how you feel' are just odd, do you take games that serious? sigh thought these forums were for talking about the game not peoples whines and moans.

Originally posted by nikoliath well there are more ppl willing to pay money for the games without the "stinging death penalty". I have no intention of ever playing a game again that punishes me harshly for dying. For me the days of losing a precious item, having to find someone to put implants back in for me, having an item broken beyond repair, taking me out of the action for 15min, making me walk back to collect my stuff miles away only to die again, having my body camped by retards 3x my lvl having my ship destroyed and losing hours of work lost being punished for a server crash or ISP discon are well and truly over. MMO'ing is a form of entertainment to me, I do not need the threat of punishment and feeling like shite as a result in order to enjoy a game, any more than I need the threat of my TV blowing up everytime I watch a program.
And the OP is another person suffering MMORPG burnout. Nothing in this genre will satisfy him. You fail to consider that there can be" punishment" and stinging feel of death in ways that aren't related to the down-sides of it you described so thoroughly. And it's also wrong to blame the WHOLE GENRE, as if all mmo's are bound to be similar to WAR. |
