Just one example : how many of you - old players - know that you gain extensive experience honor and gold from daily open world PvP quests? I am 69 with my new PvP rogue and I really have to watch out not hitting 70 too early with all these multiple 12.300 experience PvP stuff I get each day for EACH PvP daily. So I only do 3 of them each day (2 open world and 1 in the BG).

Just an example like daily heroic dungeons or arena championships with  free CHOICE of gear and 25.000 dollar price money PER player.

Or the fact that  each Wow Realm had to contribute to the landing on Sunwell Island and everyone had to work together to change the Sunwell lands.

AV will have its 4th change with WotLK, but you all speak of Wow of yesterday. The one without PvP gear, resilience, arena, awarded open world pvp, heroic dungeons, professions that are updated each 6 months, etc....

The usual Blizzard quality.

I never had a problem with WoW, it's the way Blizzard fosters a community of ignorance and hate that I dislike. A very good freind of mine just finished up a interveiw with Chris Metzen and Jeff Kaplan that will air on ABC in late November, she told me that she felt like she was in a White Supremace indoctranation camp while she was there...grown men acting like spoiled teenagers, laughing at racist and sexist remarks on their forums (Which violates their own TOS) they send that vibe out to the world that it's okay and even cool to be a bigoted Asshat on the internet.

I know they are flying high now, but I really see things ending badly for Blizzard.

I dislike WoW because it got boring for me and was to gearsentric. Not because it is cool to dislike WoW. Not everyone who comes to these froums is 14 years old. Lets see it has been about, oh 35 years or so since I worried about being cool. Get a grip!

Wouldnt say WoW is the "BEST" MMO of all time by a long shot. Its very good and quite well run. Bug free generally and the most forgiving on most anyone's computer than any MMO.

If the OP had changed his title to "People Just Need To Except WOW Is The most successful MMO Of All Time!", then this post would not have lasted for five pages. No one can dispute that, anyone who would probably would think Sarah Palin would be an excellent US President one day too.

But don't get most successful confused with best. No way is WoW the best. Just the best selling MMO of all time.

To the OP: NO!

WOW was a great game game for me and i played it a long time until BC came out. BC made gear obsolete and the previous instances usless.  WOLK will make things worse i believe. Personally i havent played since 5 months after BC so i could care less about the game.

I take games for what they are when i play therm. Some MMO's i liked and some I didnt. Right now im playing EVE and WAR, two very good games.

WOW best of all time? Not in my opinion only. Sorry.

There is no right or wrong answer with what the OP posted (although i do believe he meant to troll people -shrugs-) To some people WoW is the greatest of all time to others not, to some people LOTRO is the best game of all time, to some its not, go read the WAR boards, people saying its the best ever, to some its not  etc etc...in other words, this is a stupid debate that no side will ever win.

WoW players - 10 million +

LotRO players - 200-300k Range

FFXI players - 200-300k Range

AoC players - Who knows it sucks maybe 150k?

WAR Players - 500k maybe give or take

DDO players - 150k

CoX players - 150-200k

DAoC - 10,000

Guild Wars - 750k-1million

Lineage 2 - 5 million

I can do this all day long.

Now to these 150k - 5 million mark players of other games, wow is not the best, else they would be in wow.

Fact though that if you glance through the games list on MMORPG.com WoW prolly has more subs in it's single game than every game on that list combined.

So is WoW the best MMO out there? Not to many not to at least 9 million MMO players....

But 10 Million + out there say you are wrong.

Money talks and bullshit walks.... and Blizzard talks a lot.

the best mmo in the world is the one you get entertained and enjoyment out of. dont matter what its called or who the devs are.

Anyway best mmo? In terms of quality, quite probably. It has strong attention to it's art style and direction, strong attention to making enjoyable and fun classes. But, you must question whether grind and a great number of collect x items, y items, kill x/y mobs constitutes great gameplay? Does it constitute the best mmo gameplay of now? If it does, then we really are waiting for something really good to come along...

Yep, for a number of years straight the most successful selling car was the Ford Escort. Now I highly doubt anyone had a Ford Escort on their "Best Car" list of all time. But the numbers were up cause they sold escorts in bulk to government agencies, rental car agencies and the like. Now just cause they SOLD more, didnt mean it was better than a Camry, which it wasnt. Walmart is the most successful store around, but i wouldnt buy MY computer or furniture from there. But so many do. That doesnt make Walmart the best. Just the best value. (and even this is debated). I wouldnt consider Walmart the "best store" just based on customers.

Im not saying WoW shipped out boxes by the tons with discounts left and right, not at all. But to argue simply on the basis on "well, it SOLD the most so it must be the best game ever" is pretty bad logic. Same with sub amounts. If there is a lull in the MMO market, which there has been in the past 5 years imo, people will stay with the simpliest, easiest choice, which was WoW.

Still doesnt make it the best. Wow is the best VALUE, but not the best.

Please change the title of your post. You make yourself look idiotic. Except is not the word you were looking for, try accept.

so it boils down to this again does it, some bored WoW player mouthing off that "WoW is the greatest", next he'll be saying all MMO's after it are ripoffs (flame and spit if you like but WoW is a copy in it's own right using the same arguments that the WoW lovers use)..

Suffice to say WoW may be the best for those that play it and aint too keen on other MMO's at the moment, fair play to em and good luck, those that feel the need to slag off other MMORPG's in favour of WoW need to get a grip on reality. WoW is the best for YOU not EVERYONE.. there is no need or point to threads like this or the arguments for WoW being the best. WoW stands on it's own merits which include a successful genre. You people like simple, fair enough and good on you, personally i prefer complex such as Pre-NGE SWG (yes i'm a SWG refugee, whoop de doo) do i mouth off that SWG was the greatest? nope, it was my first ever MMORPG and it was the best FOR ME... 

MMORPG forum moderators could use a kick in the butt and stop this kind of junk the moment it's spotted (as well as many other types of junk threads that mean nothing, such as the hate/fail ones)
