I think the analist of last week who predicted 250-350K after 3/4 months is better placed. It's his job and wasn't excalty contradicted by EA. |

WAR not for everyone. I guess it will find it's niche eventually. The pve'ers will leave the game in mass and return to whatever mmo they came from, but the pvp'ers will stay. The brainlessness in scenarios is a curse from WoW I guess. People think they can play WAR's battlegrounds as they do WoW's but fail to realize their toons ain't solokings as they are over in WoW. That will fix itself in time as people get more used to WAR. To be honest I think you started this game with the wrong expectations on what to expect. This is a pvp centered game with a pve afterthough, excact opposite what WoW is. Don't even expect to get the same experience in WAR as you get in WoW as they are two completely different games. Only similarities is the world it's based on(Warhammer) and the usual mmo setup stuff, as in core classes/similar hud and that they are both fantasy. The animations blows though and the bugs are plenty. Just had a new one today. Game wont start. After a bit of research I found they shipped their dvd's with buggy code and that I needed to replace a file. WTF is up with that? Don't they test their crap before they ship it? Honestly, games are getting more and more buggy nowadays. PVP balance sucks yes, but if you join a med or high server you avoid that problem most of the time in my experience. The leveling speed you complain about I just don't get. What is the joy in playing a levelbased game when you start at max level from the getgo, or use one week to max your toon? Level speed is fine. It's a little too fast to be honest, but I'm used to the speed to level in Anarchy Online and that is slow |

Originally posted by Gylfi totally true. The problem is the casual crowd is NOT "really" a niche, it's the majority of the players. I'm afraid. And that's basically where Mythic's marketing wager is, They hope there's a LOT of casual tards out there to make 'em stinking rich.
Out of curiosity, why does being a casual player make someone a "tard?" Are you implying that people with less time to play video games are fundamentally less intelligent than people with more time? Even when some of those people with less time have less time because they're in college, and busy applying to Ph.D. programs? Explorer: 87%, Socializer: 60%, Achiever: 47%, Killer: 7% |

Not that it matters but i left War 2 days ago .... havent logged in in over a week. I can see some ppl will stay in War, but im gonna bet it turns out like other mmos, and a very small fan base after a year . Its not WoW, and most ppl would much rather have WoW.
just my opinion tho. |

Originally posted by tetammoth If your playing war for pve... then your playing the wrong game. WAR is about pvp. There is pve in it, but that is not its focus. Now... about the pvp. Your bumping into the whole pugs suck deal. Simple solution... STOP PUGGING! Find a guild that runs nightly groups. Get into said group, and you will experience the exact opposite of what your experiencing now. This isnt a luck thing, its a co-ordination thing. You need folks working together and your just notgoing to get that often in a pug. As for the leveling taking a long time. If your actually doing the scenarios and doing the repeatable quests with those scenarios your going to be leveling fast as hell. My brother just recently went from 1 - 25 in 3 days while capping his Realm Rank.... so it can be done and rather easily. Just change the way your playing a bit. |

I have little time to play too but i still wanna play something intense when i can.. It's just about how you wanna employ that time. Do you wanna do something intellectually gratifying or something mildly entertaining just to chill out? That's being a casual tard. It's basically a difference in conceiving videogaming. It's either cultural discovery, spiritual exploration, or morphine for your primitive mind. |

Some people are born to complain whatever you give them, so I don't really care if OP leave the game or not.On the other side the game is still young,2 weeks for Christ sake and some are complaining about using the same 3 or 4 skills.I wonder if that person complain about using the same 3 fingers in his/her hand. If you want to play WAR like an FPS with a 1vs1 mindset, you'll get your ass whooped and bitch slapped like a w&^%*.Play the game as it was meant to be....Tactics and Warfare Leveling is fast in WAR,the devs already said reaching R40 will be quick but it will be difficult to master . I`m a R23 RR16 WP and happy playing with guildies and Alliance guild

I was loving the game when I first played it (newness factor, etc), then it quickly started the gradual slide downwards when I saw each Tier was basically the same as the one before with simply higher numbers (stats, levels, price of things, etc). The game is a nice distraction as you said, it's certainly not horrible. However, I can see it will have no real staying power with me, and maybe be one I return to every few months to a year to see if anything has changed for the better. |

Its just the teenage mentality. He thinks everyone should play video games 50+ hours a week killing the same PvE mob over and over until he gets enough points to buy that pair of boots. I'll let other form their opinions on how he has so much time to spend playing a game.
There are plenty of games that require you to have no life or future goals to be the top dog. WAR isn't one of them. |

Oh, that's rich. Playing a video game is intellectually challenging for you? I just feel very sorry for you. Good day, genius.
I can see RTS game being slightly challenging, but sorry no MMORPG on earth is challenging they are all the same. Grind, kill, grind. Even the wildly over-hyped EVE. |

Had to giggle at that! i love it too when video games players try to pretent they are something else haha. But saying that i go to work as a prodcution technician in local firm. I manage the maintenance team and manage product improvments. my job is very challenging and often stressful. i do very well at various IQ tests and have been mensa recomended, while none of this makes me intellegent it does make me above average at least. But when it comes to games i am simply average, many people play games to the death and know everything there is to know about them. Me, i am a casual player. yes i play to win whenever i am on, as i do in everything but i am still a casual and imaginative player. i would love to be put in a common sense situation with the hardcore types that think casuals are lesser beings and see what happens...hey they might even suprise me :) But could i just make sure i am not misinterpreting? i am taking the word "Tard" quite offensively, it is something lesser isnt it? |

rofl if you play the game and look at it like a grindfest then fair enough... But honestly i enjoy every single level of this game and it makes me feel as if no matter what level i am i can do anything i really want... i can keep siege... PvP when i want without thinking "maybe i should level" and it also brings a challenge when it comes to RvR .. only downside are some performance issues due to my comp but apart from that go play WoW.
