Looks like the new guy is shaking things up. Good for him. Just hope for Funcom that it is not too late. |

Once they launched the game, it was too late. The only uncertainty (in my mind) is if we hear about the financial collapse of Funcom before they have to officially announce it on Nov 15th. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

But but but... They have 400,000 subscribers! How could you need server merges with 400,000 people playing?? Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic |

The server mergers will make a HUGE difference to the players who still enjoy the game. There are plenty of other ways to make fun of the fanboys.. I'm just not going to use server mergers :) If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Bingo. I really hope this will make the game much more enjoyable for those still playing AoC. And hey, if we see other servers popping up later it means more subscribers. RIP Blackguard. May a resurrection come. |

I can't wait. The only reason I'm not playing is because there is no one to play with. ![]() |

While I agree this is a good thing and this is ONE time. Its too little to late to make up for months of customer bashing. Some people are like slinkies, they dont really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs. |

Server mergers are not a "good" thing in regards to the health and quality of the game. Nice spin. It proves that either they lost many of their initial customers since launch or they conducted flawed marketing prior to release and anticipated more players, but gamers have decided that AoC sucks. |

People who can't do instances because there aren't enough players, guilds who can't seige because they are on the only guild on their server will have a much better gaming environment when the servers merge. Yes, it is a PR nightmare, but that is why I said I'm not going to bash Funcom on this news. They took the PR hit in order to give their customers a better experience. yep server merges are a very positive and strong responce to a bad situation. Should have happened back late July. Leaving till now to start discussing it has cost them a massive ammount of subs. |

Kudos to Funcom. AoC will never be a blockbuster but if they play their cards right there is no reason they can't sustain 100K subscribers over a period of 3 - 5 years. If tey are able to do that then this game will be profitable in the end, and profit is the bottom line. But it will take a shrewd person to accomplish this. Tecmo Bowl. |

Funcom is not doing server merges for the players. They are doing them in a last ditch effort to save their collective butts. The motivation is not a magnanimous gesture on their part because they have finally seen the light and are changing their evil ways. They can't afford to keep all those extra servers running. This was cost saving decision and nothing more. |

This is not true. Funcom does not operate their own servers. They outsource it to a third party company and pay that company a percentage of every subscriber. This will end up saving the third party company money, but not funcom. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Yis'gadol, v'yisgadash sh'may rabah ..... (Hebrew prayer for the dead) I use skooma so that I can work harder and longer and make more money so I can buy more skooma. I don't see a problem. |

So this new guy at Funcom might have actually made a decision that will deliberately affect the playerbase in a positive way? Lies! Well, I hope this is the case, Azrile. |

Funcom went too far with many servers at launching, this decision will benefit the game, and with all the -edited- playing WAR or back to WOW, we are gonna have good times. Whatever |
