Add point 11 - This game will be F2P with FUncoms Free Play Program within 12 months, and a new generation of Froobs will arise.

How couldnt i be? I was in the beta, but people will be sheep. Oh well.. this didnt give me any satisfaction. Its painful to read how easily tricked some people are. Makes me feel sorry for them (yes i have a heart). Just hope i saved some people a few bucks.

I like the fan responses to that thread almost as much as I liked the original post. So much lying and BS from the funcom camp, lol. Why the hell did I give this game so many chances when they didn't deserve any?

You hit the nail on the head. I bought into the hype thinking this would be the next big thing. You were right 100%

I love reading the posts calling you a troll, you dont know what youre talking about, lies, etc, etc. You should pm all of them and ask for a public appology.

400,000 subs is good. I've also been seeing alot of people that left returning to AoC within the last week. AoC isn't going anywhere. It's no WoW killer and they did fail to deliver what they promised that I will give you.

On the other hand I understand if you made a typo and meant to say 40,000. That would make more sense.

It's ok man though, really.We all make mistakes. Typing isn't my strong suite either.

AoC is probably down to less than 5000 active players, with maybe 10000 subs that have yet to be cancelled. You think they would even consider merging servers if they had anything close to 400k people playing?

It was plainly obvious that Funcom was hiding things from the open beta testers and game review sites. I mean c'mon, it didn't take a brain surgeon to see that there were major issues with the game, so why all these folks ran out and purchased it, especially knowing Funcom's history, still baffles me. I love MMOs, I've played many of them, but I'm pretty proud that I didn't jump on the AoC bandwagon.

Funcom should get out of the MMO business; they've released two titles with HUGE potential and both will go down in MMO history as epic failures. I'm just glad that the folks with any sort of brain activity left said enough is enough and showed they were displeased with Funcom's efforts, or lacktherof, by cancelling.

Think you got a bit too many zeros there fella.  40000 is a more accurate number.  Servers are stone cold dead...  Some are so bad there's like 8 people on the ENTIRE server. 

400k Was what they claimed months ago...  Even then they should have been embarassed because it means out of their 1 million box sells less than half even stayed for the first month.  Like I said 400k months ago but not now and never will it go that high again.

You know man I saw posts like yours all around before buying the PRE-ORDER.  If I'd only listened....  If I'd only listened...  No way in hell did I think it was as bad as the BETA testers were claiming.  Then it turned out to be worse than I ever imagined, lol...

Fuck Funcom, anyone that claims these guys even begin to know what they are doing, anyone that claims that Funcom is treating its players right, anyone that claims that Funcom is NOT lying about everything they can, well, they just need to wake up and smell the ashes. . .

Ive never felt this fucked in my life ( in regards to buying a game and spending time on it ), and i still feel FC owes me alot of time. I know that it was my own choice, but they LIED .. what a man to do then ? .. wait and see, buy the crap, and see for one self, thats human nature and i wish i just listened to guys like you. :)

Exactly...Age of Conan had 415,000 customers as of August 14th, of which a large portion were cancelled accounts from July (where in July depends on the customer polling date...they no doubt massaged the timing a bit). 

So what it likely meant is that they had 350,000 subscriptions at some point in July...which makes sense.  The game was actually busy in July (at least the first half of it). 

Now, 10 weeks later?  Who knows what they have...but a couple posts backlogged here (especially from some supposed lawyer guy, but his posts were good nonetheless) calculated what Funcom's revenue translates to as subscriptions. 

So I guess we will know November 15th or whenever they release their Q3 numbers.  They can lie and fudge and mislead about a lot of things, but they can't lie about their audited revenue. 

You know it made me laugh so hard when I read all of the above posts. Are any of you Adults? I would say no, but thats for another discussion. I find it very funny when people say they hate a game so much and they complain about everything, like kids who want a toy. All the doom and gloom and yet your still here!!

I know I know your here because Funcom lied to you about that Barbi Powerwheels car they promised you...
