All I ever get in there is spam.

People frequently send me private messages on here for help with things, but I don't often see them for a day or three.

Is is possible to either permanently remove the unverified inbox or at least have the inbox indicator only reflect messages from domains on the whitelist?

The verified box is where the whitelisted messages are supposed to go.  The unverified box is where others end up in.  That is the reason the unverified in-box exists.
