Adding to the rocky perception was a McCain campaign web ad released this morning declaring "McCain Wins Debate!" -- put out even before the candidate had announced he was planning to debate.
EDIT- Changed the title based off of the polls, post debate.

Ahh okay...I just enjoy Jonathan's commentary from time to time, what with his bars of gold and copy of Atlas Shrugged under his seat. The headline is however, priceless! |

Nothing wrong with celebrating early. By the way, I don't agree with you that the relevant market here is health care. You're not regulating health care. You're regulating insurance. It's the insurance market that you're addressing and you're saying that some people who are not in it must be in it, and that's -- that's different from regulating in any manner commerce that already exists out there. - Scalia |

He is Going to D.C. to do his Fing Job... thats a Big win in my book. Now to be fair Id be Pissed at McCain if the Rolls had been reversed and Obama had gone. If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. |

He decided not to go, but then changed his mind last second because the President more or less requested him to follow suit of McCain. Yeah after he was dragged their by the President. Before that he was claiming that if he was needed to "call me". Otherwise he had no intention of coming to DC. Currently playing: Looking Foward too: |

Having to get dragged there is better than saying that you need to go there, cancel your scheduled debate and then decide to show up at the debate after all. Publicity stunt, much? |

Hell I think both Obama and McCain shoulda been fired once they started the campain. You left out how he suspended his campaign. Even though McCain ads never stopped airing here in Georgia. McCain's words mean nothing. Since he can no longer exploit Sarah Palin to draw attention to his campaign, he will have to resort to more drastic measures. |

Given that all Obama Has to do is Fart and the press is standing there saying it smells like Roses you think McCain has a reason to Not do stunts? And the ad was probably paid for over a month ago. They wouldent give him it back at this point because it would cost them money. I agree with that. In my opinion, once you hit the campaign trail the moral thing to do is resign from your current position. In the past, many Senators and Governors did just that |

You need to think about Obama saying if you need me call along the lines of: "Hey it's my job to represent the people(of Illinois), but hey who cares I have better stuff do do"... That's not what I want in a president.
both the canidates are soo messed up that you're litterally stuck having to decide who would be the least worse. |

The MOST traffic'ed web site www.drudgereport.com is having a poll on who won the debate... 70+% of voters say McCain won the debate. I like that.

was a frustrating debate. Especially when neither candidate could answer what they would sacrifice for the good of the economy after being asked.. what.. 4 times? that and Obamma forgetting who he was debating with..I think I'll pass watching the next two |
