Question: What fantasy MMORPG would you rather play than WoW? I mean just all around better... I'm not a fan of WoW (obviously seen on previous posts) but I have played worse. I am current looking for a great one to play and there seems to be much debate and confusion on what to pick.

Because people think it gives them some credibility to knock WoW, if you like the game good for you whether its WoW, SWG or Eve who gives a rip if you find enjoyment in playing it. This forum is filled with respondants who delight in nothing more than flaming anything connected with WoW yet I bet secretly they all have active accounts but won't admit it. |

Its not that I hate WOW, its just never WOW'ed me. Plus I'm just getting really bored with high fantasy games. I'd like to see other genres balance out the industry. Well that was simply my 2 cent, you can take it or leave it. When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there! |

Ive played wow for while to realy see what it was and for me it was opisite of what you think it was crap its not by far the best. I know when something has millions of followers many believe it must be best then or claim its best, becouse millions like it, well its not even when the whole planet plays wow except for me, its still not think its the best, its below avarage:) |

I've come to the conclusion, particularly after reading some of the responses in this thread, that most people are apparently too stupid to understand that what makes a game GOOD is that you ENJOY it. If you enjoy it, then for YOU, it's a "good game." We're talking about games here. Isn't the purpose of a game enjoyment? If you don't enjoy a game, by all means, don't play it. However, it certainly doesn't mean it's not a great game for someone ELSE. So to spend countless posts putting down a game that someone else enjoys is not only pointless, it's idiotic. Personally, I think the people that waste posts insulting WoW and the people who play it....look a LOT more ignorant than the people who are just playing a game they enjoy. WoW = McDonalds Lots of people go there, its poor quality. If people then started going on about how good McDonalds was and using it as a great example of the food world. Thats why. |

I love how people try to find any kind of comparison to put WoW down. Blizzard wanted to make a fun game, for the people that play it, it is fun and to them probably the best, just because some of you don't think its the best doesn't mean they have to think like you. People use the stupid McDonalds Reference, guess what, there are people out there who love that place, they collect anything and everything McDonalds, they love the food and everything else. Just because you think its bad doesn't make it so, your opinion is no more valid then theirs. After reading this a few times i think its just jealousy, jealous that other people are having fun in a game, that they have something that they think is great, and the people that are hating on it, they don't have anything, they jump from game to game trying to find something they can say they love and are bitter towards anyone else. For many WoW will be the first and last mmo they play, they love blizzard games so that's how they feel, they don't owe it to any other company to go and try their game out. Even with all the hate for SOE, for many SWG is still the greatest game they ever played...Go to the WAR forums, for many WAR is the greatest game ever made...i think people can see the pattern. So before WoW came out, what was the biggest mmo that took all the flak from people who love to hate?
