WAR = BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED! in a nutshell....
Game Play = A- Talk about innovation with never before seen Features. PQ's, RvR, Living Guilds, and badass Combat Scenarios make this game a thing of perfection. Almost no instancing in an open world is a spectacular feature. It appeals to the Hard Core and Causal Gamer alike. Incredible Balance! Graphics = B+ Not the very best I have seen out there, but this game will run on almost any system. I have a top of the line gaming computer with all the bells and whistles and it runs with no problems. But that's not the real story here. I also have a Laptop that is several years old. I can play with few or no problems on it as well. This game works great on almost any system. Overall Polish = A+ Really a breath of fresh air coming from games like SWG and EQ2. Almost no bugs and when problems do occur, the EA team gets a fix out in No Time! This game is very smooth and comfortable to play for hours on end. This is a game that delivers with reliable servers and dependable mechanics. Customer Service = A+ BEST I HAVE SEEN....EVER! I know coming from SOE it can go no where but up. But I have had to call a CSR on two separate issues regarding set up and billing and I have had nothing but great experiences with EA/M. These are people who helped me when they didn't have to...these are people who don't pass the buck to other reps or give you the run around. These are people who....dare I say....CARE!
I really could go on and on about this game...I'm having a blast and can't think of another game in which I have had more FUN! I would recommend this one to anyone! By far the best that is out there right now! |

Glad you are enjoying. Please post a follow up review in 1 month though so we can see how it compares as you get used to the game. Personally I am having more fun the deeper I get into the game which was the opposite for AoC, WoW, and TR. This is a good sign for me, but I need to participate in end game RvR to know if this will last. |

Its either no instancing period to be open world or not, besides that point it has zones between the maps so even if it didn't have any instancing it still wouldn't be an open world. |

Why fanbois are teh best thing evar! But seriously, yes I enjoy the game and am glad someone else does however: there are polish issues (ie spell casting timers, pulling mobs, graphical glitches), PvE is a joke (seriously I think we all know that), and open world rvr is sparce (though can't really knock Mythic for that one). Overall I enjoy the game, but let's pump the brakes when we start saying it's the best game ever. Originally posted by GTwander: How are you an MMO? Or any of us for that matter? Honestly though AOC has some parts of it that beats war hands down especially in the graphics department. I also believe the questing is better in AOC also, i feel more immersed in the world than i do playing through War(Although i love the PQs and the ToK in war) IMO the only thing that war holds over AOC is the PVP RVR battles, the TOK, PQs and the fact the war is more polished at that momet then aoc is(Which is getting better) In the end both games will have their share of players and fanbois. Right now i play war and not AOC but does not completely mean i think war is better in ever aspect of the game nor do i also ones who state they think aoc is better should be ignored. Everyone has an opinion so the ones that saying an opinion should be ignored is the ones that need to be ignored. |

Im going to be following your threads Force_Fire because you will not be singing the same tune in 3 months time i predict. what you described is not the point of war, war classes is designed that way for a purpose and that purpose is RVR, the whole game is balance towards that end so for this reason no one is going to have a distinct advantage 1 on 1, but in a well organized group you will kill everything in sight. 1 on 1 pvp is still possible, you will just not have any class that is considered GOD mode. |

wow b+ for graphics when the game looks like wow and and i thought wow looked like ish when it came out 4 years ago. dont you think a d+ would have been better considering it runs flawlessy on your 7 year old laptop? just a suggestion. |

I enjoy the game as well, but A+ for polish? Eh, I just can't agree there. between the bad server lag and other oddities, there's still plenty of polishing to be done IMO. |
