This game has a User Rating of 8.92, the true rating without the fanbois that even love the bugs is >> at best 7.2 the game is slow, boring, the classes are boring theres nothing new. This gam should have been sold in 2003-2004 but not at 2008. The grafic sucks, new grafic cards are useless because this game even runs on a ATI1950XT in full FPS. The animations are dull and all classes look like robots. Again many of us got hyped by the marketing of Mythic. But looking at DAOC, honestly i didnt expect anything that great. Well i bought it and i want to sell it ASAP. i hope i find someone stupid enough to take it. People that compare this game with Vanguard, WoW or even AoC cant be normal. They must be blinded and mindwashed by all the commercials. This game runs on a Pentium 4 3Ghz, 2GB and a shitty VGA Card with max quality. No Bump Mapping, No high resolution Textures, just plain old 2003 WoW Grafic with other design. Thats it. Many people will follow my opinion soon after a few weeks more people will wake up and see what crap they bought and even played. BTW > Warrior Priests are the Paladins of Warhammer, even 7 Orcs cant kill one of them. Nice Balanceing Mythic (no native english,thnx)

So you dont like the high user rating, and dont want people to play this game because what exactly? Im sorry your post didnt really make much sense. What exactly about the game didnt you like? Your arguement is very VAGUE. Graphics are sucky compared to what? Animations are dull? Yet there is more animation then all of the games you have mentioned...except maybe AOC...they had good animations for combat when it wasnt bugged. Mythic hyped us through commercials and thats the reason we like the game...ofcourse it has nothing to do with the fun factor (that most are having a blast?) The game runs on a 3.4 ghz 2 gig ram 128 meg video card 1900x radeon crossfire perfectly. And thats at high settings max view. The only time it gets choppy is when there is an army infront of you. Damn...how many other games can say that? Warrior priests are nothing like Paladins...if you played the game you wouldve known that, passed level 12. 7 orcs cant kill a warrior priest? Now i know your lying. The only way those 7 couldnt kill 1 warrior priest was if they were all rank 1 and he was rank 20-30+ in Open Rvr. Go pick up English and the game play it for more then 1 hour come back and write a decent review. In the words of your first MMO, Nuff said kk i just wtfpwned you.

Right off the bat... anyone who complains about the graphics in WAR is clueless as to what this game is all about. IMO, it invalidates anything else they have to say about it. Hey OP... seems like AoC is the game for you. Awesome graphics, with worthless shit gameplay and PvP. War is highly rated for a good reason... it's a fucking great game. The best MMO to come along in years.

First of all, seriously? I'm pretty sure the class mechanics with the Shaman for example are pretty original. Having two WAAAGH! meters that fill up depending on what type of spell you are casting, then that benefits another spell by decreasing cast time or increasing how effective it is. The graphics are fine. It's a PvP game so the graphics aren't going to look like say Crysis. I still can't believe people complain about how the graphics look. The animations are fine, they are smooth, I don't see any robotics in there. Also, don't you think you're overexaggerating Warrior Priests? They aren't THAT tough to kill. It's possible for one tank to kill one. I've killed one 1v1 as a DoK in an RvR lake in tier 2, they're not as tough as you say. They're strong, but not THAT strong.

Graphics graphics and more graphics, that's all I'm hearing. If you want to play a game with good graphics go play Vanguard, see how far you will go with that. =)

who cares, this game isnt better than AoC, it just has more fanbois at the moment. The flamewar for this game comes soon, do you think i am the only one that found out what bullcrap Mythic sold to us ? More people will follow and this forum will burn like the AoC, AC2 or Horizons forum.
Its not just the terrible grafic its also the slow fighting speed, the long casting time for spells and the stupid design of the RvR instances. Its also the 12 year olds that came from WoW to play something new and piss off everyone. This game is good for 12 year olds as it is mentioned on the Box. I have a QuadCore 3.2Ghz, 4GB, 1.2 TB HDD, 9800GTX2 and this game is running on 1 core + some VGA memory at best. Its a joke form Mythic , nothing else. And yes, i bought it, its my own fault.

Honestly, if you think AoC is better than WAR then go back and play AoC. There's a ton of people happy with what Mythic has done with WAR. Are you complaining because the game runs on your system too? That's one of the weirdest reasons I've ever read. I've also not seen anyone who is immature like you say. All the people I've played with so far, mostly in PUGs are mature.

You can take Vanguard then with its cookie cutter classes and its half million animal-human races and its standard battle system and keep it.
I'll take WARs new creative classes, fun and interesting RvR including; open RvR, scenarios, and all else that goes along with it. And call it even then!

Players make or break the game themselves. Your prediction is the game will be an epic fail.. Thats fine however most people do not agree with you. Perhaps its best to stop trying to persuade the people who are enjoying the game that it will fail? Why dont you go off and play whatever game you enjoy, and let us enjoy Warhammer for now. If we hate it later we can all send you apology letters. But we dont need a negative nancy bringing down our hype. Now, once again try playing the game for longer then an hour, then come back here and have a honest discussion as to why you hated it so much. You want my prediction? I've played Vanguard, I played it a lot, I had no problems with the game, but it has no purpose, each character is a single entity, they do thier own thing, it means nothing to anyone or anything else, you could have 50 characters at full level, it means nothing and counts for the same. In War, you have a purpose, everything you and your race does contributes to the end game, the more exp you get your guild gets the same amount, the guild levels up and allows you to get keeps, cities, flag bearers, guild cloaks and the list goes on and on. I'm not a fanboi to War, I'm a fan of mmorpgs in general, Vanguard is all about the pve, and it does it well, War is all about the RvR at the end of the day, and it does it the best I've ever seen, the pve is good but the focus isn't in that, in war you have a purpose, every character counts to that race for the server.

I agree on one thing and that is this game is definetely a 2003-2004 game. I think it's fun but definetely nothing I would expect from a 2008 game. |
