Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started. |

That seems a little low. probably 500k to 600k is closer in a month or two. The reason being is that there isnt' anywhere else for 'wow-haters' to go. There also isn't a game launching any time soon ( I think Bioware is next, but that is a long way away). But I think the big test with War is how good Lake Wintergrasp ends up being in WOW. The zone so far is amazing, with moveable seige weapons, troop transports, destrutable walls and buildings, fighter plans and bombers etc etc. If the thing you like most about a MMORPG is seiging, wow is really going to blow Warhammer away. There are just so many more things to do with seiging than warhammer offers. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

Are these the american servers? All the euro ones are either full, or high at prime time. |

Yes WoW is a great game...but unfortunately I think 1 zone, only 1 hero class and 2 expansions later..its too little too late. Good luck with the WoW expansion, im not touching it untill they fix the end game gear grind problem. To the OP, EA announced they sold 1.5 million copies in just North America. How many stay is a different story. |

250k seems really low. oyu can find alot of high/high populations during the servers respective primetime hours. Then their the EU side of the house which i have no idea about =p My guess is that they get about 500K or more from NA alone |

Its a guestimation based on what EA hopes to have it has nothing to do with reality. Anyone that takes this post as truth is retarded at the moment. I'm not saying it'll make a million but I am saying that the OP is trying to twist the wording of the article to his own benefit. 250K is rather good in normal standards. Only one Game ever got bloated with more than 500K and thats WoW not even EQ 1 or 2 ever reached a Million and they're considered finicial successes because they are making a profit. |

EA projecting 250k subs seems a bit odd to me. While I wouldn't assume they would estimate over a millsion I would at least think they would be in the 400-500k range. Although the old saying it better to under promise and over deliver may apply. If they estimated 600k and only pulled 400k that that could be taken as a failure. -Currently looking forward to FFXIV -Currently playing EvE and Global Agenda |

Every zone has rvr in it, if it doesnt on your server i think you arent looking in the right places. and as far as server population, during prime time every server in the list is usually high or full with ques. |

Am I reading the article incorrectly? It seems to state this as a prediction based on what the company stated it was aiming for, and not based on the release of any hard evidence for population numbers. Edit: Originally posted by banthis Its a guestimation based on what EA hopes to have it has nothing to do with reality. Anyone that takes this post as truth is retarded at the moment. Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence. |

only 250k? That's shocking considering the pre release hype. Doesn't look like Warhammer is going to be the success they hoped for. |

yeah 1 zone youre right....but its better than tier 1-3 worth of RvR war offers right now. most of witch are empty a majorty of time unless you stay on the empire/chaos pairing. they really blew WaR away when it comes to seige weaponary. i hate to say it Ive been looking for a new MMO to play besides WoW...but no point in playing another game just to play it because its different if its not *better* |

The rvr is not specifically in only 1 area, however some areas see more action then others. |

Reread the article they're shooting for 200 to 300k to break even & turn a profit thats actually really good. If they can turn a profit / break even with those numbers that means any additional amount of numbers is a bigger boon. Look at WoW it has Millions of customers..and because of it it needs Millions of dollars to continue running. A good large number of LOTRO's '500k' are life time subscribers they're not paying a dime. Also turbine does not post or talk about population numbes so I'd like to know where this mythical 500K subscribers comes from. FFXI please prove this when I played the game it was crap and it was incredibly hard to find anyone to do anything. |
