Ive been a "biased" Blizzard fan for 10-15 years now and have owned and enjoyed every game (+ x) that they have put out----but i liked what i saw of war so i spent $50 to see what all the fuss was about--------its good.......really good. it has all that WOW does and much more-- some stuff needs work and im sure it'll get it, but this game has much more to offer. I always thought i liked the "cartoony" graphics that WOW has until I played WAR-----its excellent, and WOTLK or no, i think ive found a game for a long time--theres just sooo much more in the game already and sooooo much more room for improvement. you cant lose with this game and if you are a "flamer" --whatever that is---then you are cheating yourself. |

played WAR... wasnt impressed at all, WaR has just 1 thing WoW does not currenty "RVR" but WoW has so much more that WAR does not.....but thats my opinion. In short WoW offers more then WAR.. WAR offers RvR and thats it. |

WoW and War are both really good games. I hope everyone realizes that, but they are very different. They are technically opposites.
WoW is a PVE focused game with a off spec of PVP for those who dont like too much PVE content.
WAR is a PVP focused game with a off spec ofm PVE for those who dont like too much PVP content.
They are both different types of playstyle, I hope people realize this and stop comparing the two, because they are different games. WoW will always be good for those who really like their PVE content, and Warhammer will be there for those who prefer raids on Keeps on massive scales. I, myself like PVE and PVP however I tilt more to PVP. I also like the whole lets get a group going...and capture a keep...use siege engines to blow the walls, slaughter everyone inside, capture it and hang our guild banners showing who owns it. But hey whats your game? |

I would agree with this completely. Plus, if Blizzard can come through with what they promise with PvP related stuff in WotLK, I don't think there would be any reason to play WAR over WoW. Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic |

WAR offers Public Q's, and IMO a better crafting system--(that still has some quirks to be worked out) You can open doors, ladders etc... fight mounted mobs--dont know if u can fight while mounted yet. there are flying mobs--i dont mean hovering mobs like in WOW, i mean flying 20' in the air. Every race has its "own" classes--yea some are similar, but none are the same. there are gender specific classes. all that may not mean much to alot of people--but its all refreshing to me. its just awesome---maybe not for everyone, but im glad i gave it a chance. And ill say this--- I never could stand PVP in WOW, whereas in WAR I cant get enough of it. |

You can't compete with Blizzard quality. Simple as that. The active playing Wow fan isn't interested in playing WAR, because he already has his world he can fly over and land anywhere he wants and with a much better quality than War. Look at the new video footage of Lake Winter in another thread and you'll understand why I played WAR until Tier 2 (Dwarf rune priest lvl 14) and than decided it was enough. You can simply not go to a game with LESSER content and LESSER polishment. |

well kid-----its the right forum because I was a wow/blizzard faithful (and i still cant wait until Diablo 3) just like the majority of the people in this forum so i was just trying to give and recieve some insight as to what others that might have tried the game or to explain from my view what i thought. I know every bit of what WOW has to offer --3 70's on Rexxar----and i was wondering if i was getting burned out or what. I like WAR, im glad i tried it--its not like i own stock in EA, or im one of the creators or something---so those arent the reasons im giving it hype. I play about 15-20 hours a week on average i guess, and WAR gives me the biggest bang for my buck.

Sorry, completely the wrong forum for this sort of post and i'm sorry but i tend to rely on my own tastes to decide which game i will play rather than be lectured to about it by someone else. I'm glad you have found a game you enjoy, but come back in four years and let us know how it compared to WoW after being in the market for as long as WoW has now. Have fun, but please post stuff like this in the WAR forums in future, it is where it really belongs. It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays. |

Well I am lvl 11 with my shadow warrior. the PvE is boring and I dont enjoy the PvP. I dont see me playing this game for much longer but I aim to get to 20, but right now I have no desire to log into it. |

This is a thread about Warhammer and World of Warcraft, it can be created in either forum. If you guys/gals dont agree thats fine, but that is not why he posted the thread, he doesnt want to be lectured that this is the wrong forum..he is just making a statement about his enjoyment/surprise from being a Blizzard fan to going over to Mythic with Warhammers release. its kinda sad to see that so many posters are such fanbois that they cant just clap and say were happy for you without posting something that has nothing to do with the post. |

I tried a Shadow Warrior myself, they were fun at a long range...in fact i think they have the longest range dps in the game. Anyway I dont think we can truely appreciate a game at rank 11...and im not trying to argue with you or anything. Its just that for example like WoW the game really doesnt open up untill 60, perhaps WAR may be the same way. Where it becomes interesting the more you level? Who knows. I am curious to see though How Blizzard is going to fix WoW, because IMHO wow right now is a grind for gear and thats it. I would love to see Blizzard release the expansion and give players a better reason to play the game. |

Warhammer is plagued by the problem of a long lasting exp. Right now I would say I like WAR but in no way love it or have had that holy shit moment. I have a 19 shadow warrior and 14 RP. It has to many things going against it to be a long term game IMO only. Its no where near the quality of WOW. WAR depends on people being logged in to pvp. The pve is very bland and boring. And it depends on some sort of realm balance so as not to have the steamroll affect. They have to many servers out there. And I think they are plagued by a bit of arrogance but thats just what I gather. I am very glad you enjoy WAR but its not yet even in the same realm as WOW, hell its not even EQ2 yet until we see how many actually buy it. They sold 1.5 million to retailers but will that translate to sales? We shall see. Good luck though and enjoy. Just wanted to offer a bit of a different view |

I think i actually said that i was happy that he found a game he likes, but i also find it maddening for people to come to a WoW forum to rave about a game that has been on release for less than a week and start talking about how they will be there for the long term and so on.... ....it may well turn out that they love the game so much that they will stay there, but there is also the novelty factor that you are trying somthing new after playing another game for so long up until now. Come back in 3,6,12,48 months time and see where you are then and just from a purely personal perspective, that would make the raving a little more valid. PS: If you don't want answers from WoW fans, then don't post on a WoW forum, DUH! It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays. |

Because with that kind of record you didn't even enter 99% of Wow's end game. While at level 14 I know ALL about the Zerg fests of WAR and the magnificent Tier 2 boredom. Seriously now. I am a dedicated PvP player. I leveled my first 60 in ....37 something days, because I loved the BG's so much I halted every day to do the BG's. And I do this with every new character btw. My new rogue never seems to finish at level 68. I do every day the world PvP quests, the BG daily quest , arena twice a week and I am every time excited in participating in a nice played PvP battle. I am a PvP player, a WOW PvP player and I don't like the War PvP at all. In Wow I am the hero, I can really really decide a fight over flags - depending what character I play. In War PvP - without decent CC - I am part of the masses. That little grey unpainted miniature that was always standing there at the end of the row of my TT Army. The first one to be picked up when I had casualties. That's the feeling I have in playing War. I want to be the shinty bright hero that saved the day. Not the unpainted miniature I can not identify wiith in the drab colors of a one sided (sorry Chaos ruled) World. Have it your way, but all my PvP guild friends think exactly the same way. Hard as it is for you. |

so after reading this forum, I must add that Blizzard has always moved with the gaming community. if you remember WoW started with no pvp. it was/has always been pve. but then guild warz hit and they had some though shitty pvp. and blizzard hit right back with Warsong, then aB then av and finally eots. I am wondering how many posters on these forums bitching about WoW play on a RP server? I enjoy the pvp reams on WoW that someone steals an herb you can kick their shit in. also I think WoW is better for atlease now is the guilds they have been around for along time. alot of my guild (www.dustguild.net) desided to play War beta together.and I have to be honest. I got a free collector ed from work with play time, had I not have that I never would have kept playing. I will still continue to play WoW. come friday night I will play Wow with my guild cause they are family to me. been trying War since friday cant seem to get into a good guild. and the cue's suck ass logged on last night to find a 42 min cue in War, yea screw that went back to Wow beta |

I'm at a lost when it comes to blizzard and PvP now though. They really have no idea what kind of sytem they want for pvp and continue trying to remake the wheel. it has taken them 4 years to come out with actual pvp content. I'm eager to see how this will all pan out in the end though. |
