Anyway it looks like after 500+ votes about 2/3 rate it 8 or higher so that is a good sign.....I think the game is good initially but I am not sure about its long term appeal.....I think another poll in 6 months would be a good idea. Yeah that would be a good idea cause then we could also see how the support is till then and about the free content (cities, classes, etc) :) |

Warhammer Online will likely be the last MMORPG I ever pick up. I'll eagerly await a persistent world that is completely skill based but really Warhammer Online is perfect. The only game with fairly well balanced massive, meaningful PvP. I just know by the time I get to rank 40 I am going to be sick of leveling up.
Gave the game an 8 though. |

I gave the game a 6. It's fun, but all they did was recreate WoW with what they hoped would be a positively received RvR focus. It lacks a certain MMO feel stemming from a lack of customization options and the linear progression through the world. Combat is a tad sluggish feeling. Issues abound with bugs and exploits-feels like an Electronic Arts product. The game has potential but will need alot of work to keep it from being eaten alive by the Lich King. |

I rated it all a 10 except role playing in the rating meter here at mmropg. I think the lack of voice chat , and the lackluster normalsee of /guild,/group,/yell commands make the roleplaying lackluster. Only time will tell if roleplaying will get better. I know my first night i loged in , i was going throug the quests, and i ended up grouping with a group that was full, but no one was chating, no voices, no typing, no nothing, i was like wtf, what is this, single player world in conflict or half life 2, but even so...That was the only part i didnt mark as exceptional.

I rated it an 8. It's one of the funnest games I've played in a long time. I haven't felt this addicted to a game since DAoC so I guess I am biased towards Mythic's games
I'm not a Mythic fangirl though. I want to see Mythic do better with WAR than it did with DAoC. Back in EvE. Started with BatMUD. Main MMOs have been EvE and DAoC. |

Did the patch increase the game performance a bit or... |

Do you people think they will introduce the removed characters and cities for free or with the next expansion? |

Gave it a 6. Fun game, but lots and lots of room for improvement. Especially in oRvR. Didn't buy the game to play ScenarioHammer: The Age of Knockback.
Gonna keep my sub up and running for 2-3 more months to see what they can do. I have high hopes. |

9 from me.. and some comments + I like FPS games and WAR is most likely that in a fantasy world.. -/+ WAR has not the depth/ complexity like VG, EQ/EQ2 (suits the time i can invest/ spend atm.) + It's about skills and team work --> most FPS are about teamwork (in BF2142 a good team can rip all appart). So Imo there's a huge potential in a teamwork / FPS - way.. People just need to get used to it.. Like in the very beginning of raiding in EQ, people had to adjust to that type of gameplay.. - So many Emo destro players -The balance conditions atm.. Well they of course have to be fixed. *** Population .. is good I my self find the activity on Karag Dron very high.. Cant PQ's?? well in old days eq you had to send a tell to many people before you could even assemble a group... I write a message to folks and invite them on a accept.. PQ's are not a problem.. I Think the problem is that people dont do much about gathering groups .. |

I give it a 10, because even though may not be 100% now, it will be pretty soon. Further to that if every game was released like this then i would not be scared to buy MMO titles! |

Game is a 7 currently with the potential of becoming an 8-8,5 when things are ironed out in a year. My personal belief is always buy an MMO a year after they are out but I went out of my way and bought this one. Game is fine right now but I imagine in a year it will be an even better experience. |

I voted it a 5. I picked the game up to give it a shot and will probably not renew after my 30 days. I played a Disciple of Khaine and was able to really roll through the PvE content. I talked to some friends who played a Sorceror and Chosen and it appeared as a DoK I had alot less trouble soloing these quests than they did. So for PvE Content, if you like to Solo, DoK appears the way to go. I think I made Rank 18 in a week and a half. When I did jump into RvR, it was apparent that DoK is not the class you want to be if you're into RvR Combat. I repecced and tried the different mastery lines but no matter what I chose, it just didn't cut it in RvR. So, I pulled back and played the healer role and felt that the DoK healing abilities were somewhat lacking for RvR. They do massive amounts of healing over time, but in RvR, time does not appear to be on your side. :) Perhaps the Shaman is a better choice for this support role, I'm not sure. Anyway, during my playtime, the only real issue I had was the queueing for scenario's took FOREVER. But with the last patch they put in where you can queue for all scenarios, that fixed it. The real reason I won't be renewing is I just didn't like the play style. Nothing against the game at all, but it's essentially a hack n slash game. While fun for a little while, it gets repetitive too soon for my liking.

Ive been a tad critical of mmo's lately, so with a grain of salt , I gave War a 7. I like the game well enough and really enjoyed orvr in preview/ob. But the turn this game took when it went live to a scenario grind really surprised me. Too bad because the orvr was alot of fun. I think mythic should have understood that players are like water and will flow through the path of least resistance to level. I'll keep an eye on this title and if it ever goes back to a full on orvr game I'll resub and give it another go. My days of standing in que were long gone, 2 years ago in WoW. As well my days of grinding 100 mobs then another 100 mobs timesinks were full of suck in every mmo i ever played. |
