Hi everyone, my first post, please be gentle :) I recently discovered Darkfall and I have to say it looks incredible! My two favourite games of all-time are SWG (pre-cu) and Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and I think this might be a good mix of the two. Ive signed up for beta so hopefully that will come through. can't wait! I'll join in the discusions where I can. Catch you round! kT.

Hey there, me too, I'm so excited about this game! I come from Neocron, and I have never found a game with such promise for a long time. (Never personally enjoyed World of Warcraft or other clicky mmorpgs). What I really like about it is the FPS view and twitch combat elements, as well as the no class no levels crap. I hope the devs deliver, and I hope nobody's lying about the 2008 release date ! Anyway, see you in game. |

You are absolutely right by saying it reminds of SWG pre Combat Upgrade and Oblivion. Should be an awsome mix of the two. The vastness and freedom to do what you want in game and not worry about a grind are what apeals to myself and I'm sure many others. Not really sure why there are so many haters. Jealous I think. Looking forward to DF in 2008.

With a raging community on this site this game is going to big. Probably thats why they went with 3rd party just Handel the hardware/software load(another thread)! Well me too waiting(drooling at lips) for the next/decent MMO too come out. CHECK out the thread that says Gin too get latest. |

Not to be a downer, but don't get TOO excited. Darkfall has a history of missing betas, the first missed beta being 2003. They've promised to release in 2008. I don't think that's realistic, but I'm hoping they can start up a beta before the end of the year *crosses fingers*. If they don't have a beta by the end of the year, it will be the death knell of this game. |

lies The devs never said anywhere they would start beta. this was just people on forums that got overexcited. this is the first time they ever claimed to open beta soon and they even launched a date .
if you claim that they anounced beta before show me where! |

Like the guy says they have 2 times earlier stated to have an internal beta date. They gave us this information in their weekly updates. Everyone who followed the game knows this. First one was 2003, if you see all the old articles about 2003 it even states release in 2003. Next one was when they said they had internal beta date of 2006. It was nothing official but they still said to the community in their weekly update: We are aiming at a 2006 beta. I am also quite worried that they wont be keeping this december 2008 release date either. They have to frickin announce a set beta date very soon if they want to release in december.
