The very light servers are dead and they need to be merged into one or two servers. However most of these have always been low population and I remember my friend having a char on one of them during pre cu and I played on his account and the server was just as dead then as it is now.

The thing is now theres actually content to do so most people are out questing and doing collections and instances. So its not like the pre cu time where most people were hanging around towns and waiting for doctor buffs to just end up hanging in the town anyways. So obviously you will see less people about because the worlds are huge and theres space too so most people are out doing something now. It's no secret that the game isn't as popular than it was back in 2003 and its no secret most of us want CU and pre CU servers but the game was dying in pre cu anyways so we'd probably have the same population in the game now as we did then because the people left playing are the hardcore people who wont ever leave and they were all the people playing back then too.

What I'd put on the list if I was SOE and listed in order of what they need to do first...

- Merge all the low populated servers together
- Bring back the old UI in a patch
- Old targeting system by default should be back
- Sort out combat Animations and the daft clumsy new running speed.
- Collision system.

The game needs collision and tbh I don't care if theres no new content for a year because of it, the system is something that would so sooooooo huge for SWG and much loved because imagine everything that would allow you to do.

No, the current low population servers have not always been lowly populated. I have been playing on the Intrepid server for almost 5 years. It rarely gets over very light. Back in pre-CU times there was massively more people. Currently there are less than 15 people in Mos Eisley. Pre-CU there would be hundreds at this time.

Also merging 2 very light servers will only make 1 light server. 5 or more really need to be merged into 1.

I don't think that the current dev team can handle adding collision to the existing code. The current code is most likely a huge mess from having pre-CU, CU, and NGE code added.

We have heard the 'the players are out doing other things' arguement before. It does not hold water. You have to be level 75 to do any of the Heroic instances. Where are the level 5-74 players? People would still congugate at Mos Eisley, Cnet, or Theed. They are not there (on Intrepid server). If the game had a decent population then there would not be server merge threads on the official forums.

Right now on Chilastra there's 360 people that have made themselves searchable on the player search tool.

I'd like to start out on Chimera, but I've heard it's a European server and it's heavy traffic doesn't bother me at all. Is there any other servers that I should use instead or go with my first choice anyway?

I used to play on Intrepid too, as Ginaz and Jinzan.  It was never the server with the highest population but it was always pretty busy, even during off peak times.

I have been watching and that server has been on Medium, still at 360 searchable players it is missing all the players on /anon, in most cases PvP'ers. Bria right now is on Heavy as of 7:49pm PST.

Bria is currently on Heavy.

I am sure they changed the "load requirements" Just like planetside. What (Used to be light) Is now Heavy, What used to be medium is still heavy, and now the actual medium and light servers are off the rictor scale in comparison to the old "load requirement"

Wasn't the point of Sony changing the game so they could attract more players? Obviously not enough people were playing or else they wouldn't have gone through all the trouble and risked so much. Why are you people so concerned anyways? I thought you hated Sony and SWG now.

Yes they planned to get at least 1 more customer as what they had so at least 300000 + 1.

But we have here the number 360 floating around LOL

The current SWG NGE is fAiL, a epochal disaster , player and customer  wise.
