I have to say that I am one of the gamers that is very disappointed.

Art is subjective, but man, the game to me looks and feels like it was made for 8 year olds. I grew tired of it in 15 min much less can I imagine myself spending HOURS in this world. I understand that it's based on the Warhammer IP and this predates WOW by 20 years but I still don't like it. The art, in a word, sucks.

The movement is VERY clunky and annoying. It's terrible.

The character customization is a flat out JOKE. Not to mention the class choices left me unsatisfied. I found that there was not ONE SINGLE CLASS that I wanted to play.

The way the zones are set up is especially uninspiring. Not only are they smallish, but there is only a tiny portion of it set aside for RvR. I just don't like the design as it feels like an afterthought; and it was, according to the developers (originally they planned to have instanced "scenario" battles only).

Oh, and no player housing? No thanks.

In fact, I'm kinda pissed I bought into the hype. Paul Barnett is a great personality and he hyped this game to the max. But it's just not fun to play.

You know, you can give your subjective views, and not try to convert people to not buy something.

I think they call the ability to make up your own mind, free will.

Some of your observations i agree with, others, not so much. but to call it a waste of money? How about letting the reader decide based on a objective discussion?

Graphics and player housing are really low on my list of priorities but personally I like the graphics. I certainly like them more than CoH or EQ2 or Vanguard or WoW which are all much less than 8 years old.

War with Player Housing = WTF???!?!?!?!?!?!

He obviously doesn't understand that WAR is based on LARGE SCALE RVR. This is not a hardcore PvE game. The graphics are excellent, considering they allow 150+ people to be on the screen fighting at once, without a single hitch. Housing? ROFL, please.

OP.. get a clue before telling people not to waste their money.

I can see why you'd be upset, but if you bought into the hype, then you're probably just as angry with yourself than at Paul Barnett. There's a reason they tell the story of jack and the magic beans to this day.

Some things we have to see and expetrience for ourselves. I thank you for the forewarning though, as colored as it was. 

Wow thanks we'll take your day 1 first impression review to heart and save our money.  Why would anyone listen to you when there are hundreds of well written, fleshed out reviews from players who have played all the way to Tier 4, and over 95% of them enjoyed it and bought the game when it launched.  Don't waste my time (trust me).

Ya, I'm sorta surprised that someone that is a dedicated SWG player would cast out such personal choice views as the level to guage the game.

I mean, You don't like a class, you couldn't play for hours, you didn't like the custimization.

You should really back them up w/ reasons you think they aren't great then then broad generalizations. I'd expect someone that deals w/ the SWG hate on a regular basis to be able to objectivly review a game.

if you want RvR everywhere, then play on an open RvR server. duh.

oh and as for the play housing, that is just a waste of resorces imo. ooo look i got a bunch of crap in my fake home that i dont even use, nor does anyone visit.

WAR is fun, and the RvR is fun, even for my gf who hates any sort of PvP. the class decriptions arent all that great yes, but they tend to be your standard classes, and more will be added later i bet.

I wish the game felt more like a world. But some of the classes are enjoyable. This game will do for awhile.

I'm kinda shocked.  It took you longer to type this out then the time you spent in the game.  That's weak in my opinion.  15 min in game and you say to trust you?  Trust me you should play the game more then 15 minute before you post your flat out opinion of the game.

Well, you're obviously more interested in aesthetics and player housing than actual gameplay.. I'm sorry you don't enjoy the game, but please don't try to spew your poison and scare off potential subscribers.

The only thing i can see myself agreeing with is not finding the class i wanted to play. Seemed like i would have to play every single one, which i dont mind being behind the first couple of high lv generations.

Anyways your over exaggerating everything by a mile... the zones are meant to be small for easy rvr action... and i dont know many 8 year olds who would have the patience for this game, not alone capable of reading / following directions.

Oh.. Player housing doesnt mix with WAR very well... especially when your busy fighting order/destruction.

I didn't die as much unless I got too close to Khaine's bombs [shake fist @ that] with my DE Sorceress! It was a great feeling in the world to win soo much... then I tried Order's side..it was more challenging with a Bright Wizard trying to beat Chosens off me with some fire! Of course that's when I call you for help

I should get into PvP more and tolerate it.. I guess I'm basically intimidated with the PvP concept because I don't like losing. Makes me go nuts. lol

What no player housing? lol   in all the games I played that had player housing I never spent much time there because I was out exploring.

You know you can play on a Open server where you can PvP just about everywhere.

if there isn't a single class you didn't want to play then Fantasy mmos must not be your thing.

just go into pvp with the frame of mind that you win some and you lose some, either way you are walking away with renown (war) or honor (wow).

also i wanted to add, 15 minutes is enough to maybe make it to rank 2 or 3. and by then you have more spells and options to do with your class, hell at rank 1 you can start RvRing in senerios and gain both exp and renown and just lvl up that way.

Even though I like WAR for what it is, I gotta agree with this. It doesnt feel like the Old World,  not even alittle. Too bad
