I will admit they are taking a step in the right direction though, Godager leaving had to happen before any hopes of AoC getting better. As far as old players coming back dont hold your breath on alot of them.

My clan and two others we are allied with have gone to Warhmmer and only 6-8 of them have any concern for AoC. The 100+ others have no intention of ever going back to AoC no matter what Funcom does.

I personally wouldnt go back if they reimbursed me for the alpha they sold me and payed me monthly to play it.

Unless Funcom changes the way they conduct their company, I'll not be returning regardless of what they patch in.  As far as I'm concerned, they have zero credibility with me, and it'll take a lot more than talk and promises to earn me back as a customer.

1 When was AoC ever on top to begin with, it has been garbage since day one. 2 Your list is really really long on things that are coming to save the wonderful aoc... 3 is 90% of this jumbled up paragraph of your will never come to pass. 4 people don't like aoc 5 some do but not a majority 6 aoc sucks ass.

Actually you are completely wrong Funcom has a lot of money still and now has over 320 employees and because of this they have a large pool of resources to draw from and even can pull from The Secret World for brief periods of time to get AoC back to 700,000 subscribers again and once they hit profit and turn the corner the stock will go up from 8 to 20+ very fast which isnt the highest but would mean people will still have made money from its initial offering and considering the state of the world economy that ain't bad!

Agreed.  A name changed doesn't fix everything over-night.  Come June to this time next year, I will revisit AoC and expect it to be in the shape in should have been at launch.  Saying that, I will not resubscribe to give the resources to fix something that should have been done in before launch anyway.  I refuse to pay for beta.

If you had added "the AoC gameworld will be rebuilt to be a vast, (virtually) seamless world without instancing of public zones" you would have lifted my spirit, my friend.

Ive read many reports and talked to many people and they all say that Funcom is just being affected by the problems in the world like the US banks faltering and therefore once things bounce back (its like a ying-yang thing) Funcom will rebound too people are just naturally scared to invest right now.  I would love to invest in Funcom but I dont know how their stock market is in Norway does anyone know of a stock broker company that allows you to buy Norwegian stocks that would be much appreciated thanks.

The whole foundation of the game is flawed and unless they somewho mystically grow a clue, they won't fix it.

Massive PvP seiges my arse, 40x40 is NOT massive, sorry.

Shame they didn't take the good things from SB and rework them with modern tech to fix the exploits, but I guess that would of taken far more skill than they really had...

I completely agree with this. AoC is SO like WoW and Warhammer (beta) that its pathetic and it just has to fail. Gaute didnt see that, he wanted a new WoW..... that was his mistake and now his job... Poor guy.

It is not that alike at all for example take the unique combat system no MMO with all the technical challenges of such a system has ever tried it.  Yet AoC did and they did very well once they improved combat radius 25% sure they have some imbalances because of the dynamics and interconnections of each variable it probably takes their most intelligent designers to understand what is going on but given the testlive server feedback they did a great job.  So in summary it is not at all like WoW other than the quest markers above avatars heads but hey even 4th edition D&D used WoW stuff to make the game more fun and lets face it no one would play games without them anymore.

This is so true. As i sit back and wait for tommorrow to come so i can log into WAR. I can't help but wonder what AOC would have been like if it had been an open, seemless Hyboria with very limited instancing.

Funcom had their chance, get ready for some major server consolidations after the first of the year.  War and the Wow expansion will kill it deader than  a doornail. 

Why do you think the lead producer quit?  Get ready for some really bad numbers.
