I don''t have to know how to make a better game, I only need to know where the "CANCEL" button is! |

Wow, less than 7% and all of them playing for free. I think you're reading far too much into this to try to make an invalid point. Beta tests draw in the curious and the "tasters". If WAR can maintain respectable numbers of paying customers after the first three months, then they can celebrate. Box sales mean very little since most of that revenue will be used to recoup investment. Mythic has a lot more work to do before they can lay claim to being a contender. Hmm...you might not be 2 yrs old but your response is along the line of a 2 yrs old haha. That link of Xfire wasn't to track what YOU do, it was tracking how WAR and other MMO games are doing concerning the popularity and populations. Doh. You don't even need to have Xfire to take a look at it. Double DOH. |

I don't see any reason why WAR won't stand. There are enough people playing mmo's with various tastes to keep just about any mmo alive. If they hold subscribers at the same rate daoc did(70% of box sales) then they will do just fine. Today's gamer is a little more fickle than those who picked up DAOC, so it maybe lower....hell it could be higher. WAR will remain in the second slot next to WoW. DAOC stayed second to EQ, WAR will stay second to WoW. LoD Empire Member |

Hrmm my preorders and most people I know ( all 4 of them :P ) paid in full for the SE pre-order I would like to state that in no way shape or form that anything I receive from SOE influences my opinion about SWG or their company. I’m pretty much a typical average player enjoying the game. |

This game will be number two *north american mmo behind WOW, in my opinion.
Yes, there are things that could be better. As time goes on, they can polish and add to the game where it comes up short.
Edit: *North American |

1.5 Million Boxes Sold to REtailers not customers. We have no idea what the pre order numbers actually are and Mythic never boasted anything other than their game has more pre orders than any previous EA game. You really gotta watch the wording in those articles so many people have reading & comprehension skill problems. btw I'm very happy with WAR so I do hope they see several hundred thousand customers int he next few days with a gradual & continuing increase. Their goal is to be number 2 next to WoW I really don't see why this isn't possible the game's condition & content level is far superiour to WoW's condition at Launch (im not crazy enough to compare them to WoW's current state since its had 4 years to clean itself up & add ridiculously crappy horrible end game (find for pve dungeon raiders crap for just about everyone else)). |

Me and a friend of mine are starting WAR until WoW expansion comes and will keep going on important raids 1-2 days a week. I know a lot of players on my server who will do that as well. So you really can't say anything untill 13th of November. |

Also, did everyone forget that WoW also installs xfire for you when you install? Furthermore, do you believe that some of the people installing actually know how to correctly disable/uninstall it. (Pop in the disk and install is alot different than msconfig or going through the control panel and uninstalling.) WoW inflated their numbers by doing this, which really is a pretty wise decision if you think about it. BOOYAKA! |

Who really cares about what X-Fire says. We will see the numbers in a few months and that will tell us all we need to know. I'm looking forward to trying WAR when they put out a 10 day trial or the like.
BTW, I never got X-Fire when I installed WoW |

I don't know what War's number is but I counted over 50 servers and most had medium to full capacity. Should be real interesting to see how many servers go on line tomorrow! As someone said earlier, playing beta shouldn't make you play the game when it goes live. But if the game is as fun as War is, thats reason enough for me to buy the retail version! |
