Ive come down to the conclusion that i need a mmo to keep me busy during my holidays from school. Me and the mates quit WOW finally and want something new, i personally have tryed many mmo's due to me quitting wow here and there then coming back lol..not this time!

but yes im getting tired of sword and shield, orcs and elfs kinda fantasy mmos, had enough. Sci-Fi is something what i was looking for, now saying that i have played and tryed a few already, SWG, Eve, tab rasa and Anarchy online with a taste of Entropia Universe (Project Entropia).

There anything eles i should be trying out? sci fi, not superheroes like cov, already played etc.

Saying all that, i cant wait for knights of the old republic online ^_^! when its done and finished...lol.

I had the same problem you did. I started off in SWG and then went to WoW, but was always looking for something Sci-Fi. Unfortunately for you, you missed out on when SWG was the best game out there.

If you tried Eve and couldn't get into it, I can only recommend trying it again. It took me literally 5 trial accounts over a 2 year time period to finally get into it, and now I just recently started playing it full out.

Otherwise, there are some sci-fi games on the horizon which look promising, such as Earthrise, Fallen Earth, and Jumpgate Evolution. All of those claim to be coming out within a year.

yeah it does look abit grim in the sci-fi department of mmos. maybe i might just try out eve again see how i go, and if not just find something to keep me occupied until a scifi one comes out, because the ones you mentioned do look promising, just a far bit outta reach at the moment for release :P.

I dont know exactly what your looking for but here is an idea, Planet side.

Its a first person shooter but I find it a blast.  I dont know the amount of time you want to play and it is only PVP..   Just take a look.

For me its fun....

give Anarchy Online a try. It's a little old but I played it before summer and it was a hella lot more fun than i thought it would be. Unfortunatley, my guild needed me in WoW more, so I had to quit, but i suggest AO. If you do play, lemme know cause i'm probably gonna reinstall it and give it another go

have a go at starquest online www.starquestonline.net for the official website free client down load and a trial so if you dont like it you are not out of pocket

If you're desperate, you can try Age of Armor or Cabal Online.
