A problem that has plagued Vanguard since release and turned many people off. This game also has the same problem. You would think the devs would figure out these things. My computer can run any game out there with high settings just fine. However, this game just loves to stutter and hitch when moving around while I'm getting 50 fps. Mythic needs to fix this problem, or this game will turn off many players out there. |

This happened to me when I first started playing the game and loading areas for the first time. I would walk into a city and having to load all the NPCs would hiccup the game. Once I visited all those places a few times it when away. Maybe something different, I dont know. How often does it do it for you?

Its a sad problem that this game has. It's bad coding and makes these devs look like rookies. Games that are coded well don't have this problem. The only solution is to have an amazing computer. Unfortunately, most people that play mmorpg have worse computers than I (and I run wow at 120fps). It is bad news for war at this point. Let's hope Mythic can have this fixed by release or else we'll see a huge loss of subs by the end of the first month. |

Yea, its one of my few complaints, too. I don't get it considering the recommended specs are so low. |

Just for the record I am not a fanboy and I am not even sure I am purchasing this game yet, however; When in the closed beta I found performance to be a lot better. Warband v Warband in tier 4 was very smoothe for me. I had a very constant FPS above 30 with no freezes. I also did not have the same "Mit mapping?" I get now. <That thing where textures only load when your right up close> In the open beta however I seem to get stutters and little freezes all the time, even though there doesn't seem to be as many people on screen as before. And the loading of textures has become REALLY noticeable for me, becomming quite irritating. I don't know why this has happened, it doesn't really make sense. Unless having more people in a zone, regardless of being near you or not has an effect on your FPS? o.O |

As I was saying, sure this game will run perfectly fine if you've got a really fast cpu, high ram, and a decent video card. However, Mythic is hoping for this game to become a smash hit. Not wow standards, but big. I dont believe it will be able to accomplish this goal after the first month if the stuttering problems are still in the game. Look at Vanguard. That game hitches and stutters like hell with the best PCs to this day, and it turns almost everyone off. Most people out there don't have amazing computers. I really love this game and hope that Mythic can clean up the code by the time the free month finishes up. |

I am having the same issues as the OP. The hiccups are very distracting, my computer is not the best but I do exceed the recommended specs.
I feel like I'm playing Mr. Game & Watch with them...I see the start of the animation then the end animation and none of the inbetween motion. |

Definitely my only Graphical gripe regarding WAR. Hopefully they can reduce the severity of the problem before launch. It is a rather annoying (fortunately not gamebreaking) problem, but I will be playing nonetheless. My computer at home is on a Dual Core 3.3ghz Intel Proc, 4gig memory, and a 9800 GX2 GeForce. STOP WHINING! |

My hope is that mythic doesnt ignore the problem like the devs over at Vanguard have done. That game still hitches and stutters even when you have 100fps. |

I haven't had any stuttering/hitching problems at all and I am playing on a fairly sub-par system. I have a new video card on the way (Should be waiting for me when I get off work, WOOT!) but yesterday I was playing on a 4year old 128mb. Thats not to say that others aren't having hitching issue, just that I don't think it is a wide spread issue. -Currently looking forward to FFXIV -Currently playing EvE and Global Agenda |

As I said, it's not a video card problem. My friend plays this with his 6600. He gets around 40 fps but stutters a lot like most of us. I'm pretty sure this game runs mostly off ram and cpu. Maybe a good hard drive is needed. |
