I understand that you guys are mad the servers are not working for you, BUT this is a TEST.

would you rather all this stuff happen now or when the game is really live?

this is the reason for OPEN BETA.

I am sorry things are not working out the way you would like them to, but if this is not the live game then you really have nothing to cry about.

When the server launch live and there are still problems I will say you have something to complain about, but for now you are servering the perpose of a tester.

I agree here i can understand that they are cranky but are they cranky because they cant get in and test or because they just want to play the damn thing, but like the OP said be paitient with the open beta but if this happens when the Early access kicks in then put on them heels and start kicking and screaming heck even send me an invite and i will join the party :)

If your have done your research and if you have looked at all the threads made by GOA and by Mythic pre-beta launch you will have noted various comments including.

"We are treating the open beta as launch this is our platform due to paying customers having had to pre-order in order to play".

"We are ready and we have every confidence in ourselves".

You can go look for those posts in the WHA forums Im not going to link them for a troll.

An open beta is also the platform for marketing or did you not realise that? All the major testing was done months ago.

I have nothing else to say really other than go away.

Most of us are nervous because believe it or not this company has managed an mmorp before.  If you carry this kind of experience you should have few flaws.

 You have to understand Mythic mixed in the testing with a marketing strategy.

GOA were arrogant enough to post for a long time about how this OB was effectively a launch.

Many people have actually paid for the game in full becasue EU premium partners (direcr2drive) too kfull payment and others paid for the OB Access.

People who did pay for OB (or effectively payed for it by commiting to pre-order) were then shafted when GOA realeased shed loads of OB keys free.

So whilst I would agree wholeheartedly with you in most situations and for most betas - Mythic and GOA made this different.

How can it be tested when ppl cant play the test (Beta)?

All I can say about htis is "Stuff happens"

no mater all the planning you will run into problems sometimes.

If you are who you say you are (and I really dont care) you would be the first person that would be smart enough to realize that sometimes bad things happen.

grow up, give it some time and if they don't fix everything before launch then cry your eyes out.

I agree with you, they advertised that I could play in the the beta if I pre-ordered. If they could not gaurantee it then why even bother advertising it?

I hope you will be mentioning the way the CEOand others have tried to deflect issues by blaming a minority of people that kicked off and made dumb threats, the ceo managed to isnsult the EU playerbase in the first line of his post byt effectively saying he doesnt normally talk to his customers and we are lucky he has decided to do so now.

You have to realize it's more than just that. GOA who is running the show in the EU has a long reputation of being completely incompetent and lots of people knew this was going to happen. Despite that, both Mythic and GOA assured people that it would be all right and now we get all this happening. So people are going ballistic not only because of what is happening right now, but also because there is every reason to believe that it will carry over into launch.

No offense OP but you live in the States so all this grow up and cry babies doesnt hold much water,I guess it is easy for you to mock when you are on the outside looking in.

I didnt bother to go for open beta as I had a hunch there would be alot of problem's with GOA and decided to wait for the headstart but I do feel sorry for the guy's that did as I am sure it is very fustrating and alot will be said out of anger,Though I hardly feel ppl like the OP comming on to blast them with "its just a test and "grow up" doesnt help and only add's fuel to it.

I am 100% sure if the shoe was on the other foot and the guy's in the state's were having these problem's then ppl like the OP wouldnt be so fast as to post like he did.

I can totally understand where you guys in Europe are coming from i would prolly be pissed as well but to be honest this is not the best place to complain cause things like this happen and ppl start getting cranky then AoC fanboys will start spamming how We are turning against each other and how ugly the WAR community is yada yada yada, so who wants a toke on my peace pipe...any 1 :)

IF open beta failed 100%, then they should delay the launch 2~3 months.

OPEN BETA for finalizing not for completely failure.

I've pre-ordered the game, and yes this open-beta fiasco is somewhat of a disappointment, but ultimately I'd rather see them having these problems now and not on the official launch date.  I just hope that this failure has provided them with a lesson from which they can learn and use to prevent it happening in the future.  To me the OB was just a little bonus, it wasn't the sole reason I pre-ordered, I for one am certainly not going to cry about being unable to access a limited environment that will be wiped before full release.

You seem to have taken the entire thing personally.  And all their "crying" has made you as cranky yourself as a 2 year old with collic.

If we were talking about server instability or hardware failure due to stress loads... maybe even if we were talking about items disappearing on zoning or continuous server failure causing rollbacks you might have a point.. all par for the course in beta.  But the issue here is login serverlol.  Regardless of all else,  the first rule of Open Beta is to GET TESTERS IN TO TEST.  Anything less is corporate malfeasance... you're burning thousands upon thousands of dollars and not even getting any feedback from testers on the stuff you need to test.  All that hardware and extra staff during a crucial period going to waste, all for an issue that should have already been addressed before you even thought of open beta.

I'm pretty sure neither Mythic nor GOA thought the entire point of Open Beta was to test whether they could keep a straight database on their login server and/or can mail out the proper codes and not "saturate" their beta keys.  Keep in mind that it's not even a question of stress on the login server... simply no one checked the data... since OPEN BETA is to test all the crap that you cant test internally and in Alpha... database management 100% definitely indubitably isn't on that list of "to do" in Open Beta.

I dont have to deal with GOA being in the US, but LOL@U.  Take a page from your own playbook and QQ about QQ.   As someone who's been in dozens and dozens of these, beta (and alpha) is a 2 way street between the contributions of both testers and devs... neither is "giving" anything to the other they're both working together equally towards the same goal.   Only noob testers take the attitude that "it's beta and it's free so dont say nothing about nothing... just kiss their asses."  As a tester you're THERE to CALL OUT the crap as you see it.  Not even being able to log in certainly qualifies as the above.  The most important thing as a beta tester is to comprehend which snafus are unavoidable and which are assfuck retarded/totally unnecessary issues.  You fail.

To the OP have some empathy.   Put yourself in their shoes.   Waiting for a long time to play a new game.  Getting really stoked and then you can't play because of a glitch.    I imagine you'd be pissed too.
