So far the best beta experience i have had since LoTRO i have had very little issues with this game i think i have had 1 CTD and a few lag spikes, and the odd bugged mob but nothing more and im no WAR fanboy but this craps on WoW for fun factor and for Community factor as well this is the only game i have seen besides Ryzom where ppl team together just for the heck of it lol. The Public Quest are a great feature and really draw the Community to work with each other not forcefully but every 1 has a chance to gain from it. i give this game so far a 8.5/10 and on my charts (not that they mean anything to any 1) that is pretty bloody good. |

Sounds like your issue is with the retailer I was sold a package with the game and open beta access. Even if the game alone would have cost as much, according to European laws I've paid for both open beta access and the game. Both must be delivered to me. I'm waiting for GOA to try reopening their account center atm, waiting and hoping I'll actually get to play the game I payed to play. |

I like the game, but I'll need another more open world mmorpg as well beside this subsciption to fullfill my mmorpg needs. Warhammer is a fun game, its polished, it's fun and easy to get into. A lot of improvements since the closed beta which probably indicates mythic has listened to the testers which is a good thing imho. |

I wasn't sure about alot of things about WAR but OB has answered those questions for me. The RVR is just way too much fun. I'm a first time RVR player and I had so much fun bashing people up. I can see myself making many characters going through all of RVR. So far I have been playing a warrior priest and I am loving the class alot. The graphics are good. They aren't top notch but Mythic does make the world look really nice. Right now I have a 8500gt 512mb and I can say the game runs fine on it. I plan to upgrade asap (personal preference) but for now this will do. Yo do not need the best vid card to make this game look and run well at all. I reccommend that before you do anything, tweak your graphics, mess around with the settings until you find what works for you. I thought the pve was going to be lame but it is not. PQ's are great and you can find yourself some nice gear. The Tome of Knowledge is great, it tracks everything you do in the game and it is very easy to use. Quest destinations are outlined on your map in red so you know where to go, areas marked in orange are the RVR areas. The game is far from a WOW clone. The concept of the game is really different and RVR makes it that way, The graphics are better than WOWs, the community so far has been pretty good. Yes there are still some issues but there is nothing game breaking here at all. I got some lag spikes a few times(nothing really major) but hey this is what OB is for, to test the game before release. I expect Mythic to have a great launch and if you had any doubts about the game, just like I did, just grab an OB key (if any are left) and see for yourself. We will NOT have a repeat of AOC and I thank Mythic for that!

The game world looks good, they dipped a little to far into a colorful pallette though, I think they did this because if they went to realistic , the game would not be optimal for large battle. Though with the way technology is advancing they could of added the elements and let the user scale the graphics like in LotRO. This game blows AoC away, there is no comparison to the 2, Mythic has a good start and should be proud of their work thus far . Few bugs , but nothing gsaame breaking like AoC . |

I guess we all have opinions, Im canceling WoW and Starting WAR. Why? In this game I actually want to read quests and want to learn about the lore, and there are little things in this game that I enjoy like getting catapulted across the map. Also some of the stuff these goblin npcs say and do are hillarious. I havent had this much fun in years playing a MMO. |

I voted above average. Simply because its beta, There are still plenty of bugs (btw make sure to send in bug reports people) i seem to be experiencing a memory leak, and the game overall could use a bit of polish in the UI. Sometimes when you click and ability or a quest window its un responsive. But overall, i'm having a blast. And i think this game will do very well. And its nice to see a MMO come out of the gate finished to this extent as opposed to some lamers reciently. |

Meh... the game is ok 5/10 Nothing to write home about mind you. It is very much the care-bear RvR/PvP game of the year. With no Stealth/Invisibility/SpeedBuffs/Utility Classes and no death penalty of any sort the sense of tension is very limited in scope. A world without consequences is a world without excitement. Ultimately everyone is a DPS class of some sort the variety is either you are a range DPS or a melee DPS (despite the in game descriptions of the classes). WAR takes the usual MMORPG class arrangement and simply removes key classes (Stealth and Utility) leaving a weak framework with little variety. Characters almost all look and play essentially the same, now this is fine if you are accustomed to games of limited scope such as WoW but for hardcore MMORPGers I think you will get more bang for your buck should you hold on to your coin for some other game (or even pre-existing already released games). On the up-shot the game runs well on very low end systems, if you can run WoW on max settings than you can run WAR on max settings (with mild frame rate loss ~which we all know is not really a real issue in non reflex based games such as MMORPG's~ with a few exceptions). Comparing WAR to WOW is VERY valid as the games are similar in many ways. They look the same graphically (stylized colour palate, very limited poly count, simplistic light mapping and shaders), they have the same interface, the worlds are seamless (and small), the over-all number of NPC models and world textures are very limited, and both games have a friendly level curve. Ultimately this game will give casual gamers the feeling that they are hardcore PvPers much the way that WoW made casual gamers feel that they were hardcore raiders. I’m not going to extrapolate on my meanings of hardcore VS casual as I know it is a subjective definition but none the less they are definitions that members of our community use to describe specific factions of our communities (they are not value judgments they are simply game play styles based on the limiting factors of everyday life). If you like Wow you will like WAR. WAR could potentially give WoW a run for its money but it will be hard pressed to drag gamers away from the time investment they have already committed to WoW. The accomplishment/acquisition of max level and "high end" raiding gear is significant to a WoW player (as casual gamers have less time to dedicate), and convincing them to start again is unlikely. Now keep in mind that WAR is still in it's final Beta stage (and the servers are performing as expected ~ which is good news with regards to a stress test AKA: Open Beta); that said it's a bit to late (in the short term) to change many of the factors that I have hit on above. After playing this for the second time, im convinced Ill never play WoW again. I love what I've seen thus far and I just can't wait to get started on my actual character. Luckily Im still not sure what class I want to be, so I can experiment this week. I love Bright Wizzard and Maurader thus far. Chosen and Swordmaster seem like they will be fun, just not early on. ------------------------------ 'Cry Havoc, and Let Loose the Dogs of WARRRRR!!!' |

I'm probably going to play my healer when retail is released and the head start starts. Work on him. Then I'll make a chosen down the road. Probably should try out classes this week while it's open beta to make sure it's what I want to do.
LOVING THE GAME WARRR..I'll never go back to wow either. I only liked pvp in wow, warhammer has grabbed my attention. |

I quite like it... And on my persinal opinion those that say the game is "Over hyped" Over hyped it them selves, no one else did it for them. Also, people need to stop rating it on only 2 hours of gameplay and get to where it starts getting way way cooler, (AKA lvl 12+) Wenn nichts mehr geht |

A lot of the people bashing this game didn't get past lvl 10 or maybe even 5. No death penalties? lol. No stealth, no buffs, no utility classes? Why don't you pull more shit out of your ass and see what else is up there, maybe we'll find your head. |

Back in closed beta they had a title for selecting yourself (F1) 100 times, it was "I like to touch myself". Unfortunately that little gem has been removed for the retail. I guess it would have offended some neo conservative churchgoing zealots in the US. What a shame, i laughed really hard when i got it the first time (as healer you select yourself as target a lot). It is now changed to "Ow, my eye", how lame.
To stay on topic, i am a senior beta player, i waws not too impressed how the first beta weekend went but after seeing MJ's post on warhammeralliance it seems we are on the right track. For me it is the multitude of things you can do at any time without bothering to level up, getting fame points or go collect 10000 Smegheads first. I can log in find a PQ, join a scenario and join a public party within 2 minutes. Starting at level 1, up to max level and then maybe in a year max renown, there is so many things to keep you busy. For me the game does have a lot of potential and the attitude of the developers towards the community is excellent, no lies, they do not shy away to say they fecked up, i like that. |

i think its cool. i like it. needs some tunin up on the controls and those types of mechanics like targeting and movement. it has a lot of features and a lot of improved features. i like the quest tracker. no more looking through a journal, all the details are on the screen and even the map. cool game. |
