5 people working on this game?? thats pretty crazy but they have done quite alot for 5 people

However I guess thats why its taking so long . But if they were smart they would hire more people!

  I just watched a video on it, I saw better graphics on my Atari 2600.

where did you hear 5 people? it started off with 5 when razorwax begun the production, but they moved into aventurine and have had 30-40 people for quite a few years now.

No kidding!  I'll be the first to admit that I don't particularly care for the art direction and that I think the game needs some serious finishing touches, but if the last trailer was really captured on medium settings, then it's at least in the same ballpark of most of the other MMOs on the market right now.
 

the graphic are fine!  this is what you need to have massive battles.

Darkfall devs are smart and wont pull an age of conan.  They are catering to all people.  I know some people who went out to buy 1500 dollar rigs just to play AOC.  With darkfall people with 6600Gts could be playing and its great!.

Most likely +50 working on the game as we speak.

True story. And as far as the graphics go, I really don't think they're that bad. And with the release still months away, they have time to do some touch ups. As also mentioned above, top of the line AoC graphics won't run 100v100 player battles. Two thumbs up for Darkfall Dev's.

Have you seen the 2007 and 2008 screenshots? They look way better than the new video, They are at least next gen worthy and blow away most run of the mill MMO's and easly come close to some of the top dogs out there. Not the best for sure, but the screenshots look very nice. Deffinently something you wont find on any ordinary atari

my question would be, how is this game so hyped when nobody around has even tested it, and how a game that haven't even shown in games conventions such as GC or PAX is 4th at this site in hype terms, another good question would be how a game which company has released nothing has so much support.

I know you don't really think that 5 people are still making this game. It was started by about 5 people years ago, but it has since been turned into an actual development studio. As someone said before, last estimates for employees at Aventurine are around 40 or so people.

The features Darkfall is supposed are very attractive to people looking for more depth than the current generation of themepark mmorpg's provide. 

There's nothing else on the market or coming out soon that has these features.

Exactly, the warship PvP is very new to the Mmorpg saga. I am mostly attracted to this game because of it. The graphics are ok, I don't really care about graphics because graphics get old in a week. The explosions are the weakest graphics in the game, but I will most likely not notice after a week or 2.

Dark fall is going to be a gateway to new skill based games in the future most likely. Till then, I hope I get into beta :)

Plus as others have said, there are way more than 5 people working on the game at this point.  Though it may have started out that way in its conception.

WOW!  You must have gotten really lucky becaus my Atari had some pretty deplorable graphics.

ill take graphics over gameplay anyday.... quakeworld still beats most new release fps's coming out today and it looks pretty dated(even with all the mods and such).... doesn't mean its not good and like other people have stated: larger scale battles would lag if the graphics were pimped out so they are balanced for the large scale combat that is intended for the game.

  meh, there's nothing wrong with cloning perfection. a uo clone is what the gaming community needs with all of these carebear, noob-loving games out there.

soon the wait will be over... in the case of "soon" meaning 1-2 years anyways.
