Because if not i don't think it's really going to appeal to as many people as WoW.My GF already has said "oh that looks like a dude game".It needs to have some other great features besides the RVR PVP to take the throne.I'm not saying it's a bad game but in order to get the subs up it needs more appeal then just combat. People like the idea that in WoW you can put your weopons to your side and do other things besides fight all the time. But other then that the game looks great I'm downloading it right now. |

Its not so much a virtual world like Dark Age of Camelot was, and to an extent (despite the heavy instancing crap) WoW is. But, play housing could very well come later down the line. |

To learn how to use a sword, one must first master when to use a sword. |

DAoC wasn't launched with housing, so we may see it yet. You never know. ------------------------------ |

I'm just saying to all those who think this game has a shot to take the throne, absolutely not.just needs to be more there to appeal to more diverse groups of people. |

It's a new game. They may add additional features later on, but the basic game structure is very fun as it stands. I would like housing too but I would take this game over LOTRO which has housing and dances (I am also female). |

Thats not the point the WAR ip dose not fit well with danceing. Its dark and gritty therefor no dancing and will never be dancing according to them altho theres some outher cool emotes. |

Hmm they mite add something like guild houses(castles/keeps?) for level 40 guilds which will have same benifits as a keep really, but suppose the enemy could raid them and it will give guilds their very own HQ to defend and retreat to, be quite cool :) |

It would. In a game like this to be honest, I don't know if I would like personal houses. Dancing, not a big deal but always a neat effect in games. Warhammer is a manly game, haha j/p. Men dance. I'm just messing. |

However, take EVE-Online as an example: it always comes down to PvP (yeah yeah it has manufacturing, but manufacturing FOR PvP), and it didn't "get old" yet...

The above poster about EVE was correct . PVP = the future , no matter how you spin it . Pve is still AI and AI is still superior dumb in mmo-land . You only can have raiding, story and quests and maybe some future ideas but mass companies don't wanna do that so all you see is bland raiding and bland kill x quests which aren't quest but jokes created by lazy developers.
PVP is a whole lot more like FFA, RVR and in those things it is factional warface, town wars, guild vs guild open world pvp, sea combat ( naval combat) sieges etc. etc.
And then you got the non -combat content like crafting, economy and social classes NAME IT! Which are mostly found in sandbox games while pve content like raiding and quests are more found in linear games. Having all 3 would create awesomeness , so that's what developers need to aim for. ----------------------------------------------------------- representer of euhporium, shade/amity , high member of the council.

Agree 100%. PVP is about being in a community. Communicating in general and PVE games go as far back as working in Asheron's Call to help each other to kill the bosses. I mean it goes back way further, I'm just saying. PVE is pve, it will always be there. But, I think people are growing more attached to the pvp concept of games. Competitve and wanting to take out real opponents.
PVP is growing on everyone and is becoming the main factors in most games now. If it doesn't have good pvp, I refuse to play it. I'm glad Warhammer is ABOUT WAR and it revolves around pvp, for the most part. |

Why, especially if you were Destruction, would you want to dance in the middle of a bloody and brutal war? Same with the housing; you're on the front lines fighting, not kicking back and drinking tea on your couch. |

OK well I'm still going to give it a go.Becuase there is alot in the game that appeals to me.So what it doesen't have dancing and player housing , it has armor dyeing and that should appeal to some asthetics. |

Agreed, LMAO. But wasn't housing nice in neocron for instance? Housing can be a fun experience...It would be nice to have a little town set aside in warhammer for kicking back after a little war action and drinking one, HAHA.
Dancing though, eh. |
