Okay I DLed it from fileplanet, ran the setup.exe and tried to log in to see if there was a patch.  I saw the patch.exe and ran that.  Am i good to go? Or should i be able to log in and patch something?

Yeah we all have that,open beta hasn't started yet so all you gotta do is wait for it, then you can make an account and start patching.

Is there a new client for OB, or will the PW client do?

It took me 8 looooong days to DL the client !?! :-/

the client you used for PW will be patch for OB, then when they start HS you will patch the same client.  When the game launches you will patch the same client.

RUnning the Patch.exe does Not properly update your game you have to patch through the normal Login method. 

You run the Login In exe (aka warhammeronline.exe or whatever its called) from you window ... you log in...it calls patcher.exe and it patches... YOu can Log in and patch You just wont find any servers to connect too when it runs the game.

I clicked the setup.exe, installed it tried to log in to patch before hand, but it just took me back to log in screen? Any ideas?

Okay, just making sure. Thanks mate.  I didnt want to log onto the 7th and be downloading some 4 hr patch lol.

I pre-ordered the warhammer and got Open Beta Access key and on my box it said to go here and create your beta center account https://betacenter.eamythic.com/login.php

Then I went to main warhammer website and went to account management and registered there as well but nowhere on those 2 sites says download the client for open beta ? Where did u guys get it ? I was witin for 9th  and i thought they'd release it then when open beta stars.

Can u point me in the right direction ?

Download the client...have your open beta key handy it will ask you to verify it.

There currently is nothing to patch.

Just wait till the  7th and you can create an account , enter your OB key and start patching and playing.

The Beta Center is closed..they are not longer in 'closed' beta.   If you have an Open Beta Key regardless if you got it from Fileplanet, Joe blow.com whatever gamestop..You MUST MUST MUST create a Mythic Account in order to login and connect to patch or even play the game.

Thanks for letting me know, I didn't put all my codes in to my mythic account.  I already had a DAOC account setup so I just used that master account.. and my OB account says active.... but when I put my login information into the patcher it doesn't let me connect.... .... kicks me out after 3 tries.

Maybe I need to reset the password or something.. or maybe I need to put in my HeadStart beta key?  I put in the OB key..... oh well, guess I'll call mythic tonight.

Ok i'm sorry i was actually talking about EU open beta, account creation hasn't been set up yet so therefore i said there was nothing to patch.

but which login information are you using?  You should have the Master account login (which wont log you into Warhammer),  Your DAoC Game Account (which wont let you login to warhammer) and your Warhammer Online Game Account (which should work). 

The patcher asks for a login and password.... I have a beta account and a regular account yet it denies my l/p saying 3rd time attempt fails for this session blah blah blah, does this happen to everyone? because it shouldn't fail.... the login and pass work fine on the website.... it should say 'sever down' not 'login fail'. Is there something wrong or is this what everyone is experiencing?

I'm not talking about playing the game I know the servers are not up or not open, I'm only talking about patching, it won't allow me to login to simply patch.... just don't want to find 1 days of patching ahead of me the day the beta finally arrives... it took me 15 hours to download the client, but it was from wi-fi heheh.... I'll play the game w/ a faster connection.

its all cool..the OP is from Texas so ... anyway its easier when responding to questions of this nature to just check the person's origin.  I mess up all the time and give EU people US info then have to back track hehe.  GOA is slow...really sucks for you guys hopefully when / if the contract comes up for renewal they'll tell GOA to fuck off and put their DAoC & Warhammer on the EA Europe servers.  (sucks they signed with EA after the GOA deal went through for you all).

Hey, in my master account when I login it says at the top "Warhammer Online", and has the logo on the top right, and in the subscriptions area it says ACTIVE, but doesn't say any more than that.... is it supposed to say WARHAMMER ACCOUNT, and have a seperate warhammer account password? This is confusing..... I have a beta login/pass, and a master account beta/pass which is only associated with Warhammer Online, and with those I can't login to the patcher, so how would I be able to get a warhammer account when I've already used the 2 key codes in the pre-order? This is too confusing...

okay I found a way to 'change' my warhammer online account within the master account, but it still doesn't work with the patcher...

Beta Accounts must be upgraded to Master Account System.   If you have a Master Account then you should have a Warhammer Online Game Account underneath that Master Account.  If you try to login with the Master Account login id & password it won't work. 

Make sure that all your codes are properly tied to the Warhammer Online Game Account.  If they are you should have messages like Open Beta, Closed Beta Tester, Preview Weekend etc etc.

I dont remember if they send you a confirmation email but you should check your spam folders incase they did.

Its not confusing if you used your OB key in the Beta Center its still good for the Master Account system, using the OB Key code was just to flag you as a pre order for possible selection into a 1 week closed beta event that happened two weeks ago.
