She was wierd, anyone who wants to go into outer space is not playing with a full deck (Example: Richard Garriot). But did she abuse her dog while stalking someone? No. Takes a Second Life player to do something like that.

You mentioned that you know two guys from SL and both of them act much worse in real life than they do in the game? Well thats exactly the point! In SL everyone is perferct. The men all look like they could compete in the Mr.Universe contest. The women all make super models seem ugly by comparison. People all seem cool and smart, people fall in "love" therough the game and everyone thinks SL is just a way to chat with people. But the harsh reality is that most of these people are bat$#!% insane in the real world and will stalk you to the ends of the earth while abusing their pets.

But I guess those are the chances you take when you play a "game" where the entire economy revolves around selling people their own genitals.

Do some investigation into this so-called game and come back say that again. SL is a cesspool of perversities and illegal sexual acts and behavior. Ofcourse I don't blame games for all the sick shit going on in the world, but this game is a breeding ground for those sickos.

Its already been said dozen times in this thread but I'll say it again:

Games do not make people crazy.

Second Life (despite not being a game as we established in another thread here in this forum) does not make people crazy.

BUT...

Second Life does attract crazy people because of the fact that its pretty much a chat room with graphics which allows them to do things that would be of questionable morality (and sometimes legality) in real life.

This is why everyone who "plays" this "game" should be viewed with suspicion. And never EVER tell them where you live.

The bad part about you people who are hating on the furries are that you are acting like they are evil for waht they do.

Or the only ones.  Just because the game is essentially a virtual chat, and the people there are Open with their perversitities don't mean that none of the many other MMO games out ther edon't have their creeps and dangerous individuals. 

When the news stop talking about kids being abducted by meeting "gaming friends" then you might have some room to complain and hate the way you have.  But I doubt it.

Furries are perverts and sickos. Why? They promote sex with animals. That should be reason enough to avoid them like the plague. Other mmo's got it's fair share of sickos too, not doubt about that, but in SL the rules against this is too lax, don't even upholded in some cases. In other mmo's there are strict rules against sexual behaviour and people are banned when caught doing that ingame.

There where 2 cases of child pornography and pedophilia roleplay in SL that I know of. Both communities are still running and the excuse the devs used to not shut them down, was that they didn't see any illegal activities going on in those communities. This says me 2 things, either they are in on and participate in those activities, or they are fucking blind.

By your logic, just cause it doesn't hurt me, I should ignore it? What kind of thoughtset is that? Just cause pedophilia doesn't hurt me, I should ignore it? What about rape, incest, wifebeating and all the other stuff going on in the world? Those things should disturb people and the society should track these lowlifes down and arrest them.
