The founders beta just ended, I'm not sure what you mean by "Western" but in any event I thought it was really well handled, over 12000 USD raised for charity in that event and one of the best communities ever. To be clear, this wasn't even an Open Beta. Remember girls (and guys), it's a beta, not even AoC was functioning properly when it went LIVE. When Open Beta starts I'll be sure to be there! |

Well, I have nothing against Hello Kitty. However, I can't see myself playing it. Diversity is the spice of life though. As long as someone enjoy playing it.
P.S. I have a fear of Hello Kitty. On my fear list it is between Snakes and Fire Breathing Dragons. |

I have to agree with Satrycon, the Hello Kitty Online Founders Beta was terrible. Unprofessional is about the kindest thing you can say about the GM's of the game. That one joined a guild boggles the mind. There would be events posted on the main site's blog, but rarely were the start times adhered to. One would show up for these events, participate, only to find the rules suddenly change at the end of the game, cheating lots of people out of rewards. People caught blatantly trying to cheat or stealing from other characters were not dealt with. They all were kept until the end of the beta. If too many people were logged in, the portals which were the only means to travel around the map would shut down leaving players to click and move like morons for 15min to try to get through. This is on top of the 10 maps you have to walk through to get to an item that you have to return 10 maps with. So far the only way you can walk is with the click of the mouse. So you are left clicking and clicking and clicking to get across the map. I love cute, pink, sparkly, squishy traits, and I was really looking forward to this game. However, it was a terrible experience and I don't plan on playing it ever again. |

Hmm... I don't agree at all, it's a beta, things fall over every once in a while and the one thing I will completely disagree on is the GM's who are a fary cry from any of the other GM's (who you don't see at all), the GM's in this game actually interact and involve you. Must be talking about a different game |

the only thing i hate about hello kitty online is a sore loser, cry baby player who's name is "Magnificent" but without him, HKO is a perfect game. |

I remember when this sort of thing happened on this site with another game, Called The Sims Online. Everybody argued how great it was and everybody argued how much it sucked. It was like an epic argument until that one day, Fate reared it's ugly head and they shut the whole game down and ended it. It's funny that I can still find it on the lists. I personally thing the GM's interaction with players was a fantastic thing, but the fact that they did so based on favoritism is what I didn't agree with. |

Satrycon, don't be so bitter...4th place is still good Just because you thought it was only based on the total amount and you had your own spreadsheets doesn't mean that it was right.
The ultimate intent was the donation to Unicef and AYO - guess you lost sight of that...

You got pwned, fair and square: http://blog.sanriotown.com/onlinegame:hellokitty.com/files/2008/11/food-for-friends-figures1.jpg and now you owe a lot of people an apology. Tthose in your guild, who you used and walked all over, the people you abused verbally, in-game and on the fourms. Are you adult enough, at age 36 (or whatever age you are), to admit you were wrong?

Wow, you are an idiot Miggy. I'm not Satrycon. On HKO, I was sqigglibear aka Sarahbear. Completely different person who completely agrees with Magnificent on how the beta played out. She's right. GM interaction with the players would be awesome if it wasn't so one-sided. From what I understand, Neverender laughed for the whole district to see when Is Awesome was announced fourth. That's realy cruel after the hours of work we put into it, including me. The mini-games they played with us were bogus, too. Instead of stirring up trouble here, why don't you go check out my experience participating in one. In consists of me and a large group of others winning a game, only to be DQ'd when the GM's decided to make up a new rule on the spot and then not talk to us about it. http://basicktforum01.sanriotown.com/scripts/mb2/mb2.cgi?rm=show_topic&period=0&topic_id=37201 Anyways, I'm glad you posted all this on here, Miggy...I needed a reminder about one of the things that made that game such an awful experience. |
