but anyways, why even bring this one up - it at least have to have full loot, no instances, free for all pvp, hundreds of people can fight with 60+fps, collision detection, friendly fire, etc? I doubt it does.

ps. just read up on it, its unreal 3 engine, this will have tons of instances, and probably max be able to have 10 people fighting eachother at once, without massive lag. all eye candy, no substance.

Just so you know, the developers have created their own engine that can support the server clusters and the style of the game. It is not the Unreal 3 engine. Also, beta sign-ups are in! Go go go!

95% of the video was player characters bashing each other. That part looked pretty good. But there still is a lot of stuff we didn't see. So it definately wasn't the best video ever.

 

 

Which you have to admit is scary if that Video represents 5% of the game. and 0.00000001% of the landmass in the Video.

Absurd. Go look at the Starcraft gameplay videos where they actually explain the game and it's features. This one is mediocre at best.

If there's an engine in the pinto, and none in the porshe, i'll go for the pinto ;)

yet again everyone just cries about graphics... us darkfall fans are looking at it strictly from a PVP gameplay perspective most of us will not care what the graphics look like as long as its *GET READY FOR IT*  FUNNNN!!!!!! don't youguys get this? jesus.. The trailer made it look incredibly fun no other mmo has done what they are doing, i mean come on the FPS style gameplay with like naval combat n such too? thats awesome!

Yeah but that games going to be a grind fest  And they only real notable features seen is the wall walking and combat system which is movie like polished   Which as cool as it looks is not quite enough to win over with the graphics, As anybody who wants gameplay +tons of features will still look towards DF

Since not one single person here has ever played DF, it's kind of hard to judge the game on anything but what was seen in this one video.

This did not feel like FPS style gameplay to me, it felt like a no skill zerg fest where you just run in with your character and start clicking on the other character until one of you dies.

At least in FPS games there are tactics, you can snipe, you can duck, you can hide behind corners, etc... this was nothing more than Run, Click, Die/Win.

At least SOME use of teamwork, tactics, terrain, abilities, you know.. some kind of SKILL would have been nice.

Maybe this is possible in the game, but I don't know.. there was nothing like that showcased in the video, and the video is all I have to go on.

I appologize if I expected more out of a game that I have been following since 2001.

Even model animation needs a bit more work and there are some graphical artefacts, game looks awesome. Gameplay sound even better than before. Just great trailer!!!

No CG used at all.  The video was 100% in-game.  You should read the interview that was done with the people working on it.

The video was pretty good. But animations need a lot of work. They should buy motion capture animations from some studio, I bet it will pay off in the long run. And work on the blood, there is too much of it and it explodes in a round pattern, which is not too credible. Graphics were better than I expected. They might have a jewell, but it also can be a Dark and Light, or never see the light... it's still vaporware in my book.
