I know that the gameplay might be good and all ( maybe), however looking at player taken and offical screenies, I am not sold to want to buy this game at all.

 Some locations look VERY bland and VERY unoriginal( this is just my opinion.)

Textures look very unmeshed and out of place a lot, and the view distance isn't the greatest. I mean, if your going to have bad graphics, at least make the view distance decent. I actually enjoy backround scenary.

All i wish is that they could keep up with 2008, maybe even 7 graphics, and not go for the old, poorly textured graphics plan WoW had. I'm sure there was one way you could figure out that many people can play and still have the game look good.

Looking at a game that could have looked the same in 2004-6 does not impress me. Use the new software people! I don't mean Age of Conan software because even their graphics get tiring to look at, but at least something decent enough to WANT to look at.

Not sure if this is correct, but I heard that during beta testing you couldn't jack your graphics up to full performance.  Could be something like that, cause my character looked like mario from NES or something

Firstly, I don't think anybody really cares :-/ It's YOU who's missing out, not us.

Secondly, visit this youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/br3ntbr0 He has a lot of videos of RvR, and he narrates while he plays (to explain wtf is going on). And if those vids don't make you wanna play (especially the one of the ironbreaker), then I dont know what to suggest ;)

 It's all about the gameplay,  do yourself a favor and play the open beta on the 7th, then make up your mind.

AoC has good graphics, you might enjoy that quite a lot.

Hahahahahaha... WTF ? dude I am in the CB and I can tell you that this game has better graphics than most MMO's, although they are not as good as LOTRO or AoC graphics they still are good, besides that the game is still in Beta. FOR ME they are 2008 graphics.

I don't really know what kind of MMO you are looking for but if you are looking for an MMO with badass graphics try LOTRO or AoC. I m not trying to bash you or anything just saying the truth here, if you are looking for games with badass graphics maybe you should just switch of genre probably to FPS or Adventure game.

To each their own I suppose...I ilke WAR's graphics they look amazing, they're not overly fancy & hardware crunching.    The view distance is actually pretty huge I've never had people miraculously appear infront of me. 

You really should atleast try and get into the fileplanet beta before you judge from some screen shots everyones known for a while that their engine constantly changes as they add more finished artwork & maps into the game.

Just remember the graphics are made to scale to deal with a massive amount of players so that the choke is mostly on the server end.

Read the 100 other threads about graphics, customization with graphics, viewing distance etc...

You can't maximize graphics in the open beta or anything like that, so how can you say this is a primary reason you are not going to buy the game?

Search threads and get your answers. This is just another waste of a post.

he didnt mention gameplay once, all his complaints were about graphics. therefore it is logical to conclude that he really likes graphics and doesnt care about gameplay, therefore AoC is perfect for him.

judging this game on its graphics when its in beta and has been said many times in this and other threads the graphics are not set high at the moment.

fantastic graphics is a nice option if its available but in no way makes a game great.

try it when its live or if you a   tight git pop round a m8's and have a peek :)

And why would we care to ready this?

I prefer gameplay over graphics anyday. AoC has awesome graphics and look where it is at in large battles, lag, lag and more lag... they can not fix the lag issue in sieges for AoC within 1 year.

WAR has avatars and combat animations that could only compete with Everquest 1, the original.

... and even Everquest has sexy still shots under the correct angle and lighting.

All the hype about miracle grafix and animations, we can't, see are nothing but that, hype.  Put your money where your mouth is and show them. 

Throw up a gameplay video that doesn't look like crap.
