by default it using the same folder from where u launched the downloader  exe file

You will see a folder called wareuopenbeta

john smedley obviously has no respect for women, but on a side note, i cannot connect to the download..it checks the files and then disconnects.

I'm up to 24% but im having trouble finding the where the files are being downloaded to.

Im on Vista and i've tried searching for wareuopenbeta as people have mentioned earlier but with no success. Can anyone point me toward the default vista download path so i can find this bastarding thing!

should be in a directory right next to the downloader file.

 uh guys, i just went to the folder where all the stuff is getting downloaded to.... and all the files appear to be media files?? wtf!

Its because in the past you have probably tried to read a .bin file in something like media player.

im a tool

i couldnt find the file so i shut the downloader off and restarted it again and the file appeared exactly where everyone has said it would. i was at 45% of nothing downloaded....

word of warning to everyone - if you cant find the folder, you may be downloading nothing!

so when all the stuff has downloaded, how do i install the beta?

I didn't have faith in Goa to begin with so im not surprised the download is not working.

My download is going fine (on Vista 64)... ticking along nicely at ~350 kB/s

the files will be going to a folder in your desktop called something like 'wareuopenbeta'.

all working fine so far. using Vista.

Guys, when i look at my open beta folder, it's only like 8.45 gigs in size.... isn't that a bit small??  23% done, but i know the folder shows what the final size will be, regardless of how much space it is actually taking up.

guys, check how big your open beta folders are.... i need answers!!! how big are yours? mine is 8.46gigs which seems too small

8.47 Gb too.. its prolly zipped stuff
