I'm just in a wait and see mode. If it comes out, great. If its cancelled, I dont care. They havnt gotten a cent from me. So i havnt lost anything.

Then why is the DF forums peppered with locked threads? And why have I been giving a warning for posting here and then banned for about 12 hours for comparing DF fanboys to donkeys chasing a carrot? No doubt because DF fanboys go crying to the mods. Not that I blame the mods, it's a difficult job. No way will you please everyone. Moderating forums is like being a politician, you're bound to piss people off.

Actually, the idea of a practical joke came to my  mind recently.  Mayhap Tasos started this 'joke' on an April 1st many years ago and is trying to set a Guinness World Record for the longest April Fools Joke? 

Wouldn't you all feel wonderful if, once he's reached his goal, Tasos came out (this April) and said, "April Fools!!  I just wanted to see how long you guys would hold on.  Thanks for helping me set a world record!  Have a nice life, suckas!"

That’s why I’m still sticking around even after 7 years of waiting, this is either going to be the holy grail of sandbox non linear open pvp MMO’s or the mother of all MMO let downs.

Either way its going to be extraordinary.

This is epic stuff, especially for the limited section of the MMO community who are interested in this type of game and have been promoting it for years, this might not happen again for many years, since Asp’s visit last year I’ve smelt blood and decided to get more involved with following the game again.

I’m sure which ever way it turns out this year will be the deciding factor in this saga, just because I personally think all the evidence indicates this is much more likely to be a complete disaster and a huge disappointment or worse does not mean I’m not still willing to accept that I might be wrong, no matter how unlikely I think that is.

It all depends, after over 10 years of various forms of development, what the developers do or don’t do in the last 4 months of this year to meet their official public beta and launch schedule.

After 7 years of waiting, whether or not this game actually ever releases does not even seem that important anymore, following this game has been more then worth it purely for the entertainment factor alone, the game actually releasing and even being half way decent or not is just gravy at this stage.

It fels like a practical joke. Anyone else who used to support Darkfall starting to feel this way?

I still beleive that Darkfall will come soon or later but more and more my hopes goes to Mortal Online.
