It's a longterm study of MMOGamers.

Though, in order to be a complete study, a final product would have to be released and then more information would be collected from players.

Money is going in, so somewhere, somewhen, money has to come out...

I feel they've been screwing us over with lack of updates, but I don't feel like I'm being punked, because they have a publisher. I think, like Tasos pointed out in the last update, they take for granted just how patient their community is.

I did not investigate the situation besides you post exactly like him, post 50 posts a day of nothing like this post above, and just generally seem to be the exact same person. You both happen to be from a fake city in Iowa, both are an assumed fake 20+ year age, when really I find it very hard to believe you're 23 or 28.

I really don't understand what the problem is here with people wanting proof, or talking about how this game is or isn't real...

Right now something momentous is going on.

1. You will see the longest development in history being released, and we will get to see what the result is. Monetarily, subscriptions, reception, fun... We will be able to see if it was actually worth it.

2. This is the biggest hoax in the world. The longest, best, well played out, prank that ever exist on the MMO community. Some will slap their faces in disgrace, others will point and go "HA!", but the point is that we actually got to see this take place. We might also just see it disappear... The "biggest letdown" of our time.

In any case... these arguements really shouldn't be taking place... it's so much more than an "i'm right, your wrong" arguement.

Um ok...prove to me without any doubt that this game is a hoax?  I expect your reasoning why someone would do this and I want proof that the people who operate the official forums have another motive.  Please prove it.  While you are trying to figure that out, and im sure you will come up with some bs response like lol its been in development for 10 years and lied about beta, which are not valid reasons.

I haven't posted in this area in a while, not because I've given up on Darkfall but because of the state this forum has been in for some time now. This particular section on MMORPG.com is populated by the worst kind of trolls I've ever seen on any forum anywhere and I've been involved with quite a few. Now when I say trolls I'm not talking about Haters or Fanbois, I'm talking about both. They are all trolls just on different sides of the fence. I'm niether fanboi or Hater but I do like what Darkfall proposes and will play it when and if it releases. Everyone here including the OP needs to just take 2 steps back from their computers and think about what they are doing. This is just a game and not the cure for cancer or anything that important and is not worth this kind of devotion from either side. If it releases......great, if it doesn't......we've lost nothing at all.
