It still got IMO the best character-animation, at least Cata-Models look very solid and well done. Vanguard but esp. LotrO characters are far less nicely done. You can sit there in RvR and watch an amazing sunset, that's something what shows me DaoC is still not out of date. |

I would definately like to carry on playing DAOC, but sadly, I can not pay for DAOC and WAR each, I sure hope Mythic do a subscription deal for both games. |

I dont think I would have enough time to play both mmorpgs, but I would sign up anyways, just in case I wanted to change speeds. As someone said, a new server? Definetly I am game.. |

If you have two or more MMOs it doesn't make sense to charge extra for the additional subscriptions. Taking WAR and DAoC for an example, it's doubtful that having subscriptions to both will increase your total time spent playing, so you're not really getting more value for the extra money except variety, and there are down sides to variety. If you give one away with the other, competing companies are robbed of those players who like to keep a second MMO for a mistress, customers suffering burnout from one of your games have an immediately available alternative which you control and which won't take them so far outside the community, and you even prevent burnout by making "vacations" painless and untraumatic. We don't need to cancel then resubscribe later (and after considering all your competition); we just make a weekend of it. And this probably means weekly guild rushes of the weaker game's newbie areas, which makes things easier & more attractive for people serious about trying the game for the first time. I understand why a company wouldn't want to do this; everyone thinks their dead weight is pure gold just waiting for the right moment, and sometimes they're right: Steam, Virtual Console, TV on DVD, etc. But why doesn't anyone try it? Is the big Asheron's Call retro boom really just around the corner? Removing Mythic from the argument for a moment because we're all in love with WAR and can't see straight: I have a Station Access subscription, but now that I know SOE's non-EQ games suck I can't justify paying the $30. How does EQ2 subscribers not having access to the dying EQ1 help SOE? I'll stick with WoW because I find it the best value for $15, but if the choice were between WoW, EQ1+2, AoC+AO, and AC+LotRO+DDO, that would be a more difficult decision. einexile the meek |

To add (sorta speak, hehe). How long do you think ppl would play an "MMO" then NEVER changed?, not very long. Really, those of you who hate change, dont you think you would me much happier playing your xbox? When I said i had "time", i meant virtual time, i got no RL "time" for you. |

I would happily pay another $5 a month for both games. I would imagine at some point they will release a survey to this affect. They will need to identify if the quantity of people who would do this (pay $ more per month on top of a WAR subscription) is at least 3 times greater than the number of active subscriptions currently playing DAOC (to ensure that at a minimum they do not lose incoming revenue by doing so). I think this would be great, as it might increase populations in DAOC to make the game's RVR fun again. Sign me up! |

Thats not a bad price plan. I will do that once WAR adds in the omitted classes. Ultima ONline (3 Years) |
