graphics is set on med?

running @ high resolution the characters look a little blocky

The game is currently only set to Medium graphics for beta, when it goes Gold they will release the Hiz Rez textures.

And honestly, when you have 300 + people on screen fighting, the graphics look just fine

I have no issues with the graphics.  The set armor graphics I thought are particularly nice.

I thought the same way after playing WoW and the characters being thicker but after awhile I started to like the graphics just give it time. BTW... I think the goblins look the best..

I think it's anything but ugly.  I think it looks perfect for a Warhammer MMO.  Character designs are some of my favorite in any MMO ever.

What are you comparing them to? 

Vanguard - 100 times uglier.

WoW - 100 times cheesier.

EQ2 - 100 times more plastic and uglier.

CoH - 100 times less ridiculous.

Lineage 2 - 100 times less cloned.

LotRO - 100 times less awkward.

Am I missing something? 

Not all of the graphics settings are in which is part of it, game still isn't ugly though so personal preference is playing a part.

It's no uglier than your WoW's and your lotros.

With the exception of WoW, I disagree with you on every other game you mentioned.  WAR is ugly in a very cartoony way, and much more so than the other games you've mentioned here.  I only hope the graphics somehow miraculously improve before launch.

Gameplay > Graphics

And YES graphics are set for the BETA to medium, so i would at least wait for the launch before saying they are ugly.

Uhh maybe you guys haven't played the games I mentioned recently...  I have played them all within the last 3 months, and if you compare them that recently to the characters in WAR you would see that WAR has far superior character models and animations. 

Think whatever you want though...  Your opinion.

 The game have very ugly interfaces. But the scenary are very interesting. Notice: I say interesting, not pretty.  Is more about what you see than how what you see looks.

There are real creepy areas on the game, and stuff to freak about.

It doesn't take a lot of thought.  It takes no thought.  It takes recent experience with the games I mentioned character creation process and comparing it to WAR's and applying my opinion to those experiences.  Nice first post though.

I actually like the games artistic design from the screenshots and concept art ive seen. I guess its the darker, grittier feel of the environment thats put you off. I love the character designs for the dwarven ironbreaker and the chaos chosen among others. But i guess you cant please everone.

Anyway back on track...  What all this is about is someone's opinion, nothing more and nothing less.  What one thinks looks like art someone else might think is garbage.  It all comes down to personal taste.
