How do they determine what the IQ level is of a state? Real IQ tests are given by trained people under controlled conditions. IQ tests are not given to the vast majority of a state's population, let alone to a majority of its voting population. Lists like this are a joke. |

Yeah, I don't really buy it either. If it was state test scores or something that represents a larger percentage of the population... maybe. I do believe my home state of Oklahoma would rank pretty low though like it shows. |

Total BS list... In fact it looks like a joke. Heck, I'd be willing to bet that if an IQ test were actually given to everyone (voter or not) in each state there wouldn't be a state average over 100. |

Yeah, that list is stupid. Everyone knows that Washington is way smarter then New Jersey. Just ask anyone. However, some look right. But yeah, I'm not sure this list is that accurate. Funny how all that states that voted for Bush are at the low end of the list. I think that part might be accurate lol. Oh well. I don't take these things too seriously. The whole concept of IQ tests is inherently biased. |

IQ tests are extremely judgemental, nobody is inherently smarter then anyone else. These sort of tests were used to justify racism and discrimination and don't really belong in society anymore. |

Yeah this makes no sense because my state should be ranked last on the people I come across in my state. I swear they got IQ's of 80 here. My IQ was 125 when I had mine done years ago just for fun, had to pay for it. |
