"Tolerance is a sign of weakness."

I just can't believe this, I seriously can't.

How come a name like Gamestop, with stores all over the US, can suck that hard? I pre-ordered on the 14th August and started waiting to receive my bonus/OB keys via e-mail (I was told to wait up to 48 hours).

Then yesterday I noticed that the status of my purchase was "closed" - and wonder what? The website said that it had already shipped the Warhammer box to my shipping address!! And on the day before that I'm sure that I checked the website and the status indicated "open".

I decided to send them an e-mail asking about what had happened, because the game wasn't out yet and it couldn't have been shipped, and that I hadn't received my keys either.

Wonder what reply I got? "We had an issue on our system and can't process your order anymore. Purchases made on the website go through a rigorous verification to prevent fraud." What the fuck does that mean? That I'm trying to fraud? So they set the status of a game which is 20 days from release as SHIPPED and also never send me the codes?

I sent them another e-mail, asking for extra information and a better explanation. Wonder what? The reply was: "We had an issue on our system and can't process your order anymore. Purchases made on the website go through a rigorous verification to prevent fraud." Seriously, do I look like a fucking clown? I ask for more information and I get the EXACTLY same reply from the EXACTLY same customer service?

Congratulations GameStop for loosing one customer who used to spend more than 1000$ per year on games, and congratulations for costing Mythic 50$ (on just one particular case) for your seriousness while trying to make your customers look like clowns.

Go to Amazon they give your keys immediately through the My Media / Downloads section.

ordering games online when keys are needed, especially beta keys and the like is never an easy business. You should have just driven to the local game store.

actually gamestop is even WORSE if you go instore.  Half of their stores only focus on consoles making it hard to get pre order items for PC games.

Very true.....thing to do is call a couple stores and ask which area Gamestop specializes in PC games.   There is usually at least one or two in each area.  If they have no clue what you are talking about, hang up and call another one till you get someone with a lick of sense.

Not that I'm a particular fan of Gamestop, and that sure blows what happened to the OP.
