General Discussion

First I have to get something out of he way before I do anything else.   Thank you so much Tyres100 for bringing this game to my attention!  OMG...I love you...if you were here right now I would....(edit for content)....no joke....I love you so much for introducing me to this game.   It has been one of the absolute funnest games I have ever played - ever!   It's like Planetside but its gone medieval!  Mwhuahahaha...

If this is the beta version....the release version is going to be killer.

Now for the game.  The combat!   I cannot get over the combat.    It is amazing!   Especially from horse back.   This is how I pictured combat in a fantasy game.   Your troop of bandi...erm....friends, compatriots, cut thoart...erm....riding into battle at full gallop smashing into a another massive group of vict...ummm...warriors.   It is amazing.   I love my character and how I have spec'd her.   She is awesome in combat.   So are my followers.  I have been speccing them certain ways as well.   Makes it seem like you're playing an MMORPG.   LOL!  Even the comments they make about one another are almost to real.   Anyway...the combat makes what has been done before a joke...seriously...the combat in M&B is how it should have been done from the beginning.   OMG...imagine DAoC with this combat....it would crush...it would literally become the 10 thousand pound gorilla.   It would make a mockery of such games as AoC, WAR, all of them!   There is no game that comes close to how combat is done in M&B.   I pray that someday the developers make a massive multiplayer version of this.  If they do I hope they do not add anything like wizards...maybe shaman or similar...but that would be it.    Nothing to weird to ruin what they have now.  

The quest are not lame!  The actually have quest in this game that are fun...and effect the game.   Imagine doing this in an MMORPG.  Fun quest that are challenging and can impact the game world.  You can be captured and tossed in a dungeon!  Captured and dragged around the world.   Build up followers.  Become a bandit, a knight, a conqueror - whatever your heart desires.   My only real complaint is the women need to be a little more shapely.   I hope the developers tweak that a bit.  

 If you've never played Mount and Blade....you really should.   Seriously...it may not be an MMORPG....but it sure beats the bajeezes in gameplay that any MMORPG has to offer right now.

The videos do not do this game justice.   Just download the demo and try it...trust me...you'll be like...whoa...this is awesome!

Teala I'm glad you're enjoying it!   This is one of the reasons Darkfall caught my eye in the first place.  They said they were taking some hints from M&B for combat and other such things.  Thats the real reason I follow it.

Most importantly though Teala get onto the M&B forums,  they have a lot of really great MODs for the game.  I was playing the Star Wars mod and its really cool.  Give it a shot!

Yep found their forums.   All ready made one post.  LOL!   About them making this into an MMORPG - of ourse. 

I cannot emphasize this enough.  The game is screaming to be further developed into an MMORPG.  It has everything in place.   Lots and I means tons of content!  Content you can make yourself just by playing it.   It is an amazing game.   What the developers and game designers have done here is just so awesome.   I haven't had this much fun in a game since Planetside...seriously and it is a single player game!  Imagine if it were a multiplayer game!  OMG...I'd be so adicted.   My social life would come to a halt.    LOL! 

There are a lot of posts about Multiplayer, not so much MMOs per se.  I hope you don't get flamed, Posts about a multiplayer function on M&B happen so often.  I wouldn't mind just a good LAN game with a few friends or something, even that would rock! 

Pillaging a village!  7 riders....and I have no clue how many villagers we killed...but it was alot!  LOL!  Tell me one MMORPG that has this kind of game play and all in 3d!  Its just awesome.   I am in love. hy can't MMORPG's have this kind of game play...that is this open?   Anyway...my character isn't all that advanced in the game yet so she is still learning her skills...but she is all ready very capable.  I love how the controls work in the game by the way.   This game is no button masher.  It is matter of timing.

I remember demoing this 3-4 years ago (yup that long)...might even been longer, its been A LONG LONG time in any case and I really enjoyed it
