I Fight for the Hand, I''ll die for the hand.

Okay, while im suffering from the withdrawal pains from the addiction i have developed over a short time playing a game, I thought it would be fun to have a topic with a lighter tone.

What was your best moment in beta so far.

I have two.

My first was when i got a warband together and dominated New Emshrank. Sadly I had a CTD and when i logged back on my warband was losing

My other favorite moment is getting the drop on a goblin shaman. I don't know if its thier size or what not. But theres something positively satisfying in beating em to a pulp.

I was playing an Ironbreaker and completely gelled with some random RunePriest in a scenario.  Between his heals and buffs, and my guards, oathfriend & Taunts,  I felt like we were holding off an entire army by ourselves.

Another one was rank 40 template testing in Praag.  We were a small group of I think 4 Ironbreakers, a Runepriest and I believe a White Lion.  We completely tore through lines of Chaos.  It was just another group of players that really gelled.  We were all very aggressive, but also knew how to assist/focus fire....  To me it really proved how valuable tanks/melee were in this game.  They are a huge force if played properly.

Yes, tanks are going to be very important.  As you mentioned with a good healer behind a tank they are almost unstable and that goes for both sides.  One of the key things to do is make the healers panic by charging them and they either stand their ground and are run over or run away leaving their group open.  However, above all else Bright Wizards MUST be killed before anyone else.  If you do not take out the BW your group is going to be demolished no matter how good your healers are.

As a CE preorder closed beta tester I only had a few days... but here are the moments i remember best.

1.  The scenarios I did at level 21.  My Monstrosity Specced Marauder would maul through people.  With a competent healer i could single handedly turn the tide of battle with my cone knockdowns, silences and dmg.

2.My first keep siege.  There had to be at least 40+ people on each side (that's being conservative) and in the end we finally pushed the order out of the keep and took it for our own.

3. Winning my first pq and getting to choose from the lootbags.

When I first made it into beta some time ago, I won my first epic bag on my Chosen.  Was an epic two-hand sword and I was so happy. . .that night they wiped the servers ><

The Original Hater

I got in a 15 minute fight with a Disciple of Khaine.

yes 15 minutes you read that right.

it ended with him emoting at me and me using the time he was emoting to sprint away

best moment had to be killing a chaos warrior who was 5 levels higher than me who jumped me while I was finishing a mob pull. Took at least 6 minutes because I used 3 morals. ended with him trying to run away when he realized he was going to lose and me doting him to death.

Thats been the case in every pvp mmorpg since 1992.

but yes I agree. The heavy tanks are the most important charachter along with the primary healer... all the other classes just are there to provide target practice :)

Similar to the above;

I was on my level 11 Runepriest and I encountered an equal level Shaman and we went 1 vs. 1 for at least 15 to 20 minutes...

At around the same time we both stopped, there was a minutes pause and we both bowed and went about our business.

We'd have been there forever or until another player showed up.
