As much as I hate to add yet another thread to this board, I'm very curious as to what the Magus' summoned pets look like.

I haven't had much luck finding them so any screenshots or video of them would be greatly appreciated.

So far I've only found this:

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but I believe there are at least three other daemons/summons, which I can't find images of.

I'm guessing they aren't just that pink one's model only in different colors.

But I'm not in Beta so I don't know.  This is why any screenshots of the Magus summons would be great.

Pink horrors - Long range (the one in picture)

Blue horrors - AOE short range (blue, same model as Pink)

Flamers - Mid range with good damages (chewed up bubblegum with blue and pink)

Thanks for the responses.  Although if all the summons are just variations on the pink horror, that's fairly disappointing, as I wasn't at all thrilled by the pink horror's look.

While the Magus themselves are still very visually appealing, I think I'm going to try several other classes before the Magus now.  The Squig Herder beckons.  Hopefully I'll see the rest of their summons for myself while running in game.

just keep in mind the pet isnt out all the time.  Its more like a turret then anything.

The magus armor/robe/gear looks incredible at higher levels (as do all the choas gear).  Also at higher levels their disks take on different looks with tenticles etc.  i havnt seen this yet, but Im sure it looks pretty good.   They never get a steed, they just get different variations of the disk (or so Im told)

Of all the casters, the Magus aesthetically looks the best.

While I agree the Magus looks the best out of all the nuking casters, and the disc tuned out better looking than I thought it would, the unappealing summons are still a turn off for the Magus as a whole, even though they function more like a turret than a true pet.

The simple reason is that I lose interest in playing nukers unless I also have a pet to sic on the enemy.  I have no idea why I need my nukers to have pets, it is just something I have learned about my playing preferences.  So I know that if I don't like my pets, turret-style or not, I'll get bored with my nuker.

It's fine though, since the Squig Herder and several melee classes seem very cool.  I'll still probably try a Magus at some point, just a later than before.  Thanks again for the info.

Hello,

Is easy to ignore a turret in a RVR game.  Players will not fall into distance of a turret, and die. No one will be kille because of your turret.  And your damage will be halved, so 50% will be dealed by the turret, and the other 50% will be dealed by you.

The turret don't move, so you are forced to respawn the turret, If you want to move. This make you slow to move.  You are also weak, because you are a magician archetipe.

People will know your are weak, will go directly to you, will nuke you, and will ignore the turret. The turret will do neligible damage to these people.

So, Is a good idea to role a magus? for low level, is a horrible idea.  I have yet to test high level magus. But at low level, totally suck.

according to a dev interview awhile back the magus should have an additional 2 pets that are not bound by where they are placed but uncontrollable. I dont know if this has been implimented yet or they dropped that, but i thought it would be interesting to think about.
